Both all conference RBs with a wealth of talent and Eden's not done yet.
Both would have posted significantly better stats running behind Trinity OL.

While I fully agree that Eden and Richam were very talented backs, I think the argument can be made that neither one has ever been the best back in the league. The early days of Richam were dominated by Chipouras at Trinity who was, for my money, the unquestioned best back in the league. Even as a senior, Richam was out-produced by the rookie year of Maldijan at Middlebury. Richam only eclipsed 500yds once in his career, as a sr. As for Eden, I think he took a major step back as a sophomore after an incredible rookie campaign. In '22 Eden was outperformed by Johnson of Tufts for sure. But I think the argument can be made that both Trinity backs, and Joel Nicholas of Williams all had better seasons. Which again begs the question, is Bowdoin recruiting the RIGHT kids around the guys they have? Or are they just getting bodies to wear the jersey?

While I agree on your points I think the Bowdoin personnel is better than you may think. For example- The Bears have had the 2 standout premier running backs with back to back matriculations in the conference in recent years.

In addition what good is having a couple good players when there are 11 on the field. Last year Bowdoin started it looked like a 5"5 CB in a game where he was completely out matched. I think sometimes they do dress players that can get into the school and it is what it is.

The new President may change the culture. Freshman generally do not contribute their first year. So by the time these players develop sadly I think Hammer will be gone for lack of productivity. A new President may want to wipe the slate clean and bring in someone new.

3 Keys to a successful Offense Post-Snap:

(not in order)

1. Numbers Advantage.

2. Angles Advantage.

3. Spacing Advantage.

Trying to figure which teams do all 3 best.

The Trinity program has been found to be in violation of NESCAC recruiting rules. The decision has come from the NESCAC offices that they will be ineligible for post season Football play for 2 years. Football TIPS will be cut from their usual 30 to 16.

The Mole

Heard the same. Will affect other sports more severely, Bants will be fine but hurts depth for a couple of years. I would love to know the details....

Wait I thought lumbercat was very clearly joking.  Is this Trinity thing for real?

Hard to say!! I thought he was joking until another posted said he had heard a similar story . . Lumbercat seems to have modified his original post so that now it is particular to football but the punishment of no post-season play would not be an actual punishment . .

It was a joke guys- I thought the indication of 30 Trinity Football Tips cut to 16 (most NESCAC Football programs have around 14) would give it away. Im sure the Mole recognized the gag and jumped on board. Just having some fun in the dog days of August.

I'm up here on the southern coast of Maine which is is Gods country but I can only spend so much time on the water so I thought I'd liven up the board.

If you're looking for a great vacation venue this is it, been here for years in the summer. My only regret is being a Bobcat in this area surrounded by annoying Polar Bears.

Scoops

Bigger news! Hamilton and Williams have decided to leave the NESCAC and join the SEC as part of college football's ongoing conference realignment.

But seriously, I did notice that a couple of Trinity offers were posted by some recruits prior to August 1st. Trinity should be punished. I propose that they aren't allowed to win any more NESCAC championships until at least 2075.

Just went through the Tufts roster.  It appears Cepalia and Horning are returning on the OL and it looks like no other OL have any significant playing time to date based on the bios for all other OL.
I also noticed there are three (large 6-4 280s) brothers who are rising junior OL.  Maybe they will make up the remainder of the starting OL.  That would be cool. :-)
