And the Trinity TE was like a Tackle eligible.

Prediction: Tufts rushing is 2nd to none.

Reece will break an all-time rushing record and  will lead the league in rushing yards and touchdowns once again.

From your lips to God's ears......but with the Oline.....

All of Tufts' runners (including the QB) may find the middle a bit more clogged this year without a terrifying, USC-caliber receiver that opposing defenses had to overcompensate for when running downfield.  As well as the graduated elite offensive linemen.  But the Berlutti-Reece combo is still the best returning QB-TB pairing in the league, which is a nice place to start.

On tight ends, they haven't produced much yet so may not belong even on the very thin list of tight end groups to watch in the league, but I'm high on the talent in the Williams unit. Sam Jaffe has received limited targets as an underclassman but is a smooth athlete in space and has four TDs and averaged 15 ypc on 11 career receptions.  He's missed some time with injuries and Williams has struggled with the passing game in general, but I could see him having a breakout year, especially in the red zone, if the Ephs try for a bit more balanced offense this season.

Will Baker, who was a dual-threat QB in high school, started to get some snaps late in his frosh year. He's a huge target, 6'5 235 as a FY, and looks like he could easily get up to 250 with an off-season focused on bulking up.  He has the look of a high-end blocking tight end who is a good enough athlete to develop into a solid receiver with more reps at the position.

Quote from: BantChamps on December 20, 2023, 05:08:33 PMHearing major, credible rumblings about Cooper Mandel, the 1st team all league Trinity Defensive Lineman, potentially coming back for another year. He was not rostered in 2019, and with a covid year it would make sense as he has a year left of eligiblity. Have not seen his name in the transfer portal to go elsewhere either.

Bumping this up from previous, as it seems like people are forgetting this?

While I hold immense respect for our remarkable Tufts linemen, who have undoubtedly earned every accolade they've received due to their outstanding performance, I would like to address the notion that Tufts' running game might not perform as well following their departure. If you believe this scenario to be true, I happen to possess some ocean-front property in Kansas that I'd be delighted to offer for your consideration." 😄

To the concerns regarding Tufts receivers.. Tufts University has had a remarkable run the last few years nurturing top-tier receivers. This year promises to uphold that tradition. So anticipate witnessing yet another Tufts receiver rise to prominence, delivering performances that will undoubtedly capture the attention of fans and critics alike. You heard it here first.

Lonestar12, maybe before communicating to the world about how great each position group might be...go 9-0 and win the Nescac first.

Oh Nescac Newbie, it seems my forecast has ruffled your feathers,
Did I step on the monopoly board of your thoughts, tethered together?
My apologies, truly, I didn't mean to cause a scene,
Here's a tissue for your ego, keep it crisp and clean.

But let's not let predictions cause such a stir,
After all, it's just a game, not a personal slur.
So let's shake on it, move forward, and have a laugh,
And save our tissues for when Tufts comes to your favorite team's town. 🏈😄
