I absolutely believe Williams is moving in the right direction.
How great would it be for Williams to pull out a W this weekend at Wesleyan?
I hope the team, and especially their OL and DL, is fired up for the opportunity to show how far their program has come in the last few years. I truly believe 64 is capable of hosting a party in the backfield and hope his teammates will join him. Pound the rock, burn the clock, and be the most violent team on the field.
Go Ephs!!!

I've seen Fischetti in 2 games this year, in each he was not the best back on the field as advertised. Is he healthy?

SpringSt7

Fischetti it seems has really never been healthy, maybe not since his freshman year at least. It has been nagging foot and knee problems non stop, either misdiagnosed or mistreated, all with longer recovery times than expected.

Statistics say otherwise. He is 72 yards behind Lynskey of Bates with half the amount of carries. He is 39 yards behind Smart of Colby on 47 less attempts. If you want a guaranteed 3 yards he may not be the choice. But if you want the possibility of the 3 yards turning into 40 he's your guy.

With that said I am pretty sure he is out.

I have my answer- thanks.
I know he's a fine back. When you hear all the hype on the board but you don't see every game you scratch your head a bit. He didn't seem to have that burst......no doubt injuries taking their toll on a fine player.

Bates Oline is going to have SERIOUS problems w Koy Price. Happened last year and think it happens again

How so with a triple option?

Lumber not to pile on because I know you know the league well and have for a while but he also doesn't really stand out in any one particular area. Not a power back running over people and not a speedster. Just really good in and out of cuts and great vision. Wouldn't expect you to be wowed to be honest.

This will be a big game Williams has not beaten a Trinity , Wesleyan and Middlebury in three years. I think they need this win as a program. The program needs a win followed by Amherst win to get momentum for the young roster.

I don't care if they run the OU 1950s wishbone he's going to be in the backfield all day trying to blow up whatever they try to run

Bates handled Middlebury's DL front three and arguably Middlebury has one of the best DL in NESCAC. I think they will be fine and Bowdoins offense does not seem capable of sustaining drives.

its different. its easier to handle talent deep in the trenches than a slow OT against the most athletic player in the league .. why do u think edge rushers get paid so much in the nfl

Every Oline and offense is challenged against a player like Price-- he's the best in the league. Let's see how Bates schemes against the Bowdoin D. It's gonna be a good one in Lewiston.
