I think this message definitely shows Trin 8(5)0 is a Williams guy... or just a complete fake, I'm not trying to "dis" Williams.

Trinity 8: You are taking this way more seriouly than it is meant to be - it is merely small college football - its minor scale is one of its virtues. Relax!

On a lighter note.......Forecast has changed in Central Vermont for the Middlebury/Tufts game. We are now expecting cloudy skies and a chance of rain in the afternoon with temps in the low 50's. On my weekly Coaches' Show with Coach Ritter, he said the field was muddy at practice, but we do have some sun forecast for today, so hopefully it will dry out a bit.

Saturday's game will be webcast at www.us937.com at 12:25 Eastern Time, kickoff is at 12:30.

Am I the only one who thinks Trinity8(5)0 is the type of person you'd like to sit down and have a beer with?  Just seems like such a normal, cool guy.  Not like cheese from Old School or anything.  This is hard to tell over the internet too, but I get the feeling he is the kind of guy you'd want on your side in a fight in a dark alley.  Amazing how you can tell all of this just by reading his posts.

Amherst-Williams: The 121st playing of The Biggest Little Game In America.

Kickoff is at noon.
NESN has it on TV in New England.
Williams fans can listen on Teamline (I found it on their sports website).
Amherst fans can listen to WAMH (http://wamh.amherst.edu/).

Tomorrow's weather report has mostly cloudy skies, temperatures around 60.  Looks like the rain will hold off until Sunday, so conditions should be good.

I'm excited.  Williams is the heavy favorite, but as has been stated, you can throw everything out with this game.  You never know...

Since I will be doing the Middlebury game, I have the DVR set for the Williams/Amherst game. That one will be fun to watch on Sunday morning.

Happened to be home for a bit yesterday and while flipping channels I found the 1997 Williams-Amherst game being replayed on NESN. I was thrilled to get my NESCAC football fix in the middle of a Thursday afternoon. What a great game, and I got to see one of my old Trin coaches Dan Dicenzo #8 for Williams play.

Trinity 8 (5) 0: You're pathetic. Please stop trying to associate yourself with Trinity or any other self respecting NESCAC football fan. Your elitist attitude makes me sick. Go post on www.d3douchebag.com

Picks for this week:

Amherst 31
Williams 28

Nothing is ever what you expect in this game. Plus the Bants need it for a share of the title.

Hamilton 14
Bates 3

The Bobcats are still another year away from notching some wins. The Conts defense is as good as advertised.

Middlebury 13
Tufts 10

Midd is a better team and special teams gives them the advantage.

Colby 24
Bowdoin 14

Colby should dominate this game and salvage what has surely been a disapointing season

Trinity 35
Wesleyan 0

Besides the fact that Trin has been playing dominating football as of late, they also have owned the Cards in recent years. Look for the Bantam defense to break the NESCAC record for shutouts in a season, then do some scoreboard watching.

Go Bants... (Go Jeffs)!

UNDEFEATED SEASONS: 1911, 1915, 1934, 1949, 1954, 1955, 1993, 2003, 2004, 2005, 2008, 2012, 2016, 2022

What is the over/under on whether Trin8(5)0 has ever kissed a girl?

bocephus

what's the mood like in amherst this week?  are they gearing up for a big crowd (bigger than usual)?  i'll be making the trip up to catch my first game of the season, always a good time to watch a game there - except the bad guys have been winning there lately...

Trin 8-0,

I like your observation on Middlebury's special teams. The Panthers have done very well on kickoff and punt coverage, and Steve Haushka has given the defense a solid weapon.

I think Wesleyan will at least score ten against Williams as they have a decent offense. Wesleyan is much improved over last year and Zach Librizzi is a solid quarterback who has matured this year.

Amherst/Williams I just don't see Williams losing that game. They are so deep on offense, and their defense has been very good. Lucey and Gleeson are a two headed monster at QB, and Fullmer and Dreckhahn are two big receivers, and O'Leary is one of the, if not the best tight end in the conference.

Ah yes, that is why they play the games........This should be a fun weekend.

By the way Bant, this is a board in which we talk football and not play childish games. Let's keep this to football if we could please.

Have a great weekend folks!!

Trin 8-0, Speaking of Dan DiCenzo; I was at the Williams-Amherst game in 2000 when Amherst beat us for the first time since 1986.  On the Williams sideline after the game, which was completely silent, Dan DiCenzo's grandfather dropped dead from a heart attack.  Really weird scene - you had the Amherst fans ripping down the goalposts on one side of the filed and an ambulance on the other.

DICEMAN:  great football player, tremendous coach, terrible tattoo.

Final Middlebury update:

Partly cloudy today with a slight chance of showers with highs in the low 40's.

Catch the game at www.us937.com with the pre-game at 12:25 Eastern; 12:30 kickoff with myself and Alan O'Donnell.

Have a great one everyone.

College Game Day update:

Lee Corso taking Amherst by a fieldgoal in an upset.

Kirk Herbstreit likes Wiliams, because Steinbrenner went there.

Thanks for giving Hamilton the nod. Hopefully, they can come through and have the best season out of the four years I've been at school here.
