At the half...

Tufts 27
Bates  0

Thanks to the one & only.....Jumbocast.

Tufts looks pretty good....Bates looks lost.

Williams is up 17-14 at the half over Trinity in a evenly matched contest in Billsville. Both QBs are passing the ball well.  Trinity has stifled the Williams running attack so far.  Great 2 minute drive by Trinity and McGrath thru the air to close out the half with a much needed TD.

The rain's really picking up in the Boston area now... both offenses in the Tufts/Bates game have been slowed quite a bit. Tufts does pick up one more TD on a run from fullback Kevin Anderson.

34-0, 11ish minutes left, Bates is punting as I type.

Colby leading Middlebury late 24-19, the Panthers just missed a 2 point conversion. 1:19 to go. Colby was up  24-6 in the fourth quarter with Middlebury making a furious comeback. Middlebury just kicked the ball out of bounds and has no time outs.

Trinity leads Williams 20-17 at the end of the 3d quarter.  Trinity took advantage of a Williams interception to begin the 3d quarter and went 30 yards in 2 plays to take the lead.  Williams then marched 45 yards down to the Trinity 28 midway thru the 3d period but was stopped on a 4th and 2. Williams has already used up all of its second half timeouts.

Colby wins. Final score Colby 24 - Middlebury 19 as the Mules christen their new field.

Bowdoin hangs tough against Amherst but falls to the Jeffs by a final score of 31-24.

Great win for the Bants!  I'm sure that Vernon Street will be thumping tonight!

Congrats to Colby on an outstanding win, as well.

It's shaping up to be another exciting NESCAC season!

Nice win by Trinity today.  When Williams gave up that long drive before the half Trinity never let go of the momentum.

100% right Ephmen. Some fans in the stands were pleading for the Trin coaches to just run the clock out with 2 minutes to go before the half and the Bants inside their own 10.  Good thing they let McGrath sling the ball. A very efficient drive and a MONSTER play by Conor Wells to get the ball down to the 1.

The Bantam defense was phenomenal in the second half, as was the offensive line who did a great job of picking up a blitz-happy Williams defense.

It wouldn't surprise me if Williams goes undefeated the rest of the way. They are a very good football team and Morrisey will likely fair better against defenses that are not as good as Trin against the run.

The rest of the season looks good for Trin with their more difficult games (Tufts, Midd, Amherst) all being played in The Coop, where they haven't lost in almost 7 years.

Congrats to the Mules for breaking in the new digs in style. Jumbos look great, I hope they can avoid the trap game against Bowdoin to set up an undefeated showdown in Hartford.

I used this joke a few years back when Wes played Bates at Trinity due to extreme rain... but once again it's the only time the Cardinals will get a win on Jesse/Miller Field.

Congrats again to Trinity for a HUGE win against a great team in a very difficult place to play.

Hey guys

been a reader for the past few years, first time writer. Congrats to trin on the big win, didnt see the game does trin have what it takes to go undefeated this year? Last year's team was good but you could kinda tell they had weaknesses, is this team better?

Congrats to Colby on a big win at home opening the new turf?

Watched the Wesleyan game online, might be a long year for Wes, Hamy looks decent might be able to be a 4-4 type team, interesting to see Saccomano a former UConn QB transfer now playing DE for Hamy today (with a sack)
