Trinity is up 5-2 with one out and two on in the top of the second after Nick Pappas doubles in two runs.

Trinity ahead 7-2 with runners on 2nd/3rd and one out in the top of the 3rd.
Austin just made another pitching change...3rd pitcher so far.
Oops, Early singled, making it 9-2.  Trinity has 9 runs on 9 hits and is still hitting in the 3rd.

Millsaps up 4-2 in the bottom of the 5th, Millsaps at bat.

Millsaps lead has been whittled to 4-3 at the end of 6.
Trinity leads 11-3 in the top of the 4th.
Austin just brought in Chermak, their 4th pitcher today.

It's starting to look like Millsaps might not score much for the rest of the game as 7 of the last 9 batters have struck out.  Shelby Robertson has done a good job, but I hope we don't go with him about two batters too long and give up the lead.  My gut feeling is that it is going to be very important to keep DePauw from getting the lead.

DePauw gets the first runner on in the top of the 7th.  Would love to see a DP right now.

Austin College put together 2 singles, a wild pitch and an error for 2 unearned in the 4th to make it 11-5. Now with 1 out, they have a single and a double. Runners at 2nd and 3rd and things are getting tighter.
Solomon is out.
Frank, the DePauw pitcher seems to be effective.  Not sure I have ever seen a Millsaps inning of 3 K's looking.  How do you do a backwards K on the keyboard?

Be careful what you wish for.  Reliever came in but DePauw got a couple of hits and now has a 6-4 lead with a runner on second.  Millsaps will have to wake up the bats but they still have 3 innings--now we have rain starting.

Trinity now has a freshman on the mound who has 2.2 innings all year. Of course Coach Scannell has some reputation for this. TU started an unknown freshman in the 2004 Regional Championship game against George Fox and he went 5 innings and was terrific. The next year Brock Hewitt was the SCAC pitcher of the year.
Let's hope Coach Scannell has that same history going for him today.
Score now11-7 going in to the top of the 5th as 2 wild pitches and the error and timely Austin College hitting has made this a ball game again.
Time for the bats to make a statement, big statement.

Depauw now up 7-4 heading to the bottom of the 7th.

All of a sudden the Trinity/Austin game is a pitcher's duel.
Still 11-7 heading to the top of the 6th.
Millsaps just scored a run to make it 7-5 in the bottom of the 7th.
The Depauw pitcher has 10k's but also has given up 10 hits.
Just as I was going to say his pitch count must be way up there, they have taken him out with 2 outs in the 7th.

Dominic Robusto is playing baseball like it is a track meet.  3-4 today along with his huge game yesterday. Trinity now on the move, up 13-7 and still batting.
Depauw just got triple and has a runner at 3rd leading off the top of 8.

Trinity scored 3 in the top of the 6th and lead 14-7.
DePauw is up 8-5 with a runner at 2nd and no outs in the top of the 8th. Millsaps just brought Will Hawkins to the mound to pitch.
