UofDallas has issues with their web casting, but Trinity will be web casting it so you can link in from their site this weekend. They must have a satilite or WiFi feed. Should be a good couple of games.

Emory beats Rhodes 12-5 yesterday.  Both teams are now 5-2:

Millsaps is also at Emory this weekend and is scheduled to play York University at 11 (I think that is Eastern time).  The game can be seen at this link:

I have read Rhodes is 5-2, but they are now 5-3.
Baker walked a ton of guys yesterday and Rhodes kicked it around.  Saw the first baseman was injured early in the game.  Looked bad. He left the field immediately.  It looked like he may have got hit in the face with the ball.  It was tough to tell watching the free webcast Emory does.  Their announcer does a pretty good job, but the shot through the backstop is tough to focus on.  Maybe today will be better at LaGrange for the Lynx.
Saw Birm. South. got a win 3-2 I believe yesterday.

Outlook on West SCAC gets a lot clearer after this weekend with Trinity at UofDallas today and tomorrow.

Trinity spanks Dallas 12-1 in a 7-inning mercy game today. Klimesh K's 14 in 7 innings. The Tigers had 15 hits in the shortened game.

Dallas just learned what it is to face a top ranked team. In a show of lack of sportsmanship they chose to not allow the Tigers to have the field last night as is customary in and did not shake hands after the game.

They won't shake hands until the final game of the series. Couldn't tell you about practice last night though.

My bad, just going off the announcers comments.

Here's hoping Lucero can have similar success tomorrow.  Really good to see the Trinity break out the bats on the road today.

Trinity beats Dalls 5-0 on another fine pitching performance. Lucero goest the distance 12K's, 2 hits, 1error by TU with 8 hits. Dallas has 3 errors. Trinity got 3 in first and 2 in second and Michael Schweis came in and did a good job of shutting down the Trinity offsense for the rest of the game. Hard wind coming in from center that kept a couple of balls in that probably would have gone out, but nonetheless a good game.

Dallas is going to be a good league opponent for many years and these two teams should be playing many close games.

Trinity plays 3 against Chapman starting on Friday, should be a great series. Trinity is playing about as good as any team in the country right now.

Millsaps takes 3 more over weekend , York ,Lagrange, Emory.

Saw Rhodes gets #1 Marietta next week end.  The Lynx will see some really, really good pitching then!
It looks like Millsaps is ready for SCAC east conference play right now.

Millsaps is playing well but they have new starters at every position except catcher and rightfield, and the pitching staff is mostly new guys as well.  This is a perfect year for them to start league play in late March when they have had time to gel a bit.

Must say that the Trinity start has been impressive and it should be a heck of a series against Chapman this weekend.  The pitching staff has 117 K's in 99 innings with a 2.73 ERA and opponent's batting average of .212--those are numbers that few teams will be able to top.

It does not surprise me one bit that Millsaps is playing good ball. Coach Page always gets the most out of his teams. Trinity is going to miss the Millsaps rivalry and I hope after this year the two programs arrange OOC games. I fully expect another battle between them and Trinity in the SCAC tournament. I know BSC is ranked higher in the preseason, but would not be surprised if Millsaps has the number 1 seeding on the Eastern side come SCAC tournament time.

Trinity potentially has plenty of additional arms that have not got many innings since the starters have been so solid. The relief crew earned the 2 of 3 from Centenary, and they had the best hitting line up Trinity has seen so far this season. The challenge will be for the coaching staff to get some of those arms some work prior to the tournament. The other encouraging stat is that they only 6 errors in 13 games.

I am sooooooo looking forward to seeing the Trinity-Chapman games Friday night & Saturday morning. That's why I planned my business trip to San Antonio for this week. My sons team does not start play until 3/11 at the UAA tournament in Florida. It will be a test for us because, unlike years past, we do not have any games prior to the trip. All of the other teams have started, so we'll see how the guys respond.
I am hoping Milsaps still has their webcast, because I was able to watch last year when they played IWU. My son played with 3 of the guys on IWU and this year, they (IWU) picked up a transfer from a CC, who played against us in high school.
