Otterbein won at Wooster with Wooster throwing one of their top guys and Otterbein throwing a 3-4 guy with conference games this weekend. That game wasn't counted in the stats on the site, but might have been taken into consideration this morning.

Wooster's played a horrible schedule, a lot of teams could have 28-30 wins against what they've played considering their conference is so easy they can have their top guys go against your down the line guys as they have the last two weeks.

Otterbein should absolutely be ahead of Wooster.

Spence,
Perhaps you have clarified the Otterbein/Wooster rankings.   Thanks.

Don't get me wrong, I was surprised to see it. But I think it's absolutely right.

I thought some might want a direct link to the SCAC Baseball Tournament page:

There will be Gametracker available for all the games and the Millsaps games will be broadcast/webcast.  You can get the info for these at the above site.  The schedule today is:

1:00 Central time--Rhodes vs. Southwestern

4:30 -- Millsaps vs. Austin

One other link of interest is the blog being kept by Mike Nelson as he travels with the Rhodes baseball team and prepares to write a book on their 2008 season.  He has an entry today about the team's travel and arrival at Georgetown and I think most D3 baseball fans will enjoy and can relate to his posts:

Hopefully Game tracker will work for the balance of the tournament. Right now Rhodes has played two innings vs. SWest and Game Tracker is not working. No way for us out of towners to follow SCAC action this weekend without it.

Just spoke to Jeff Sutton, the SID at Southwestern, and he told me that the campus' wireless is down....they've got IT trying to fix it....

I apologize for the problem with the live stats...hopefully, it will be up soon.

Any chance that we could get a score while waiting on Game Tracker?

While sitting here wondering if the lack of a score being posted means that Southwestern is winning (we have Rhodes fans on the board but no Southwestern fans), I'll mention that Millsaps defeated Rhodes in softball 8-4 in the first round.

Also, a reminder that the Millsaps games are scheduled to be webcast so you should be able to follow that game even if Game Tracker is down.  That game starts at 4:30 and the link is:  http://www.espnradio1240.com/listenlive.php

That theory was wrong.  Gametracker is up and Rhodes is also up by an 8-2 score after 4 innings.  Flanagan pitching for Rhodes and Morrison for SW.  No surprise--interesting note:  as of 4/22, Flanagan lead the nation in innings pitched with 91.7 and Morrison was in the top 10 with 82.7 (I'm taking this from the list of pitchers with 6 wins or more).  The only other SCAC pitcher in the top 10 is Holt with 85.3 innings.

Wasn't that Flanagan and Holt... ;)

Please don't get that bad poetry started again.  :)

Rhodes held on to win 8-6.  Morrison went the 8 innings for SW and Flanagan went 6, giving up 5 runs, 9 hits and 7 walks.  Simmons came in and cooled off the SW run scoring for the last 3 innings.

That game ended around 3:50 so I'm guessing the start of the Millsaps-Austin game will be pushed back just a little.

Great thanks to Frank Ezelle for the plug of http:// seriousplaythebook.com.  I just posted another entry (also slightly off beat) from Georgetown but continue to read the SCAC message board avidly.

A request to those of you who visit http://seriousplaythebook.com now and then--please feel free to use the comment function to give me your reactions.

Wow!  Way to go Roos!  Throwing the Majors into the loser's bracket early makes the tourney more interesting!  :)
