Like Ralph said, if you wanna join, just PM me (deadline is 6 EST on Tuesday).

And if you do, welcome aboard!

[While I've never had to enforce it, I do reserve the right to reject 'homer' ballots.  Putting Whitworth flat-out #1 would make you an outlier, but not in itself cause me to reject your ballot.  But with their records, I'd better not see any other NWC teams on your ballot! ;D]

And the subject of much ridicule and critical analysis of why such a vote would be entertained by any serious student of D-III Hoops.   ;)

Even I dropped Linfield off my "watch" list this week.  It's a shame.

The watch list must be really tightening up now. How many teams are left? And who outside the top 25 are still in it?

There are currently 24 "extra" on my list.  I'd say 6 of them are only there until their next loss.  5 are weak teams that would need to run the table and get help even to be considered for votes (they're only on the list so I don't have to add teams later in the event of an unexpected tourney run).  Another 5 won't earn votes on their own merits (need losses above them) due to inconsistency, too many early losses, or a flat out crap schedule.

That leaves about eight legitimate contenders for votes over the next two weeks.

While the teams vary, that seems to be about the consensus - 8 ballots in, with only 9 more than the minimum teams named (and 5 are 'orphans').

Mr. Ypsi

Nine ballots now, and only 4 orphans.  This has GOT to be a first (though I haven't checked the files for sure): NO team has less than 3 points!  [For those unwilling to do the math, that means only 1 'orphan' was as low as 23rd; two were 22nd; one was 19th.  EVERYone's 24th or 25th place team has been matched (or exceeded) by SOMEone else!]

Sorry, Captain Outlier - you have NO 'orphans'! :D  (Outliers remain to be seen.)

I didn't expect any this week - I suspect most of my top 22 will be near unanimous.  We're just running out of reasons to keep some of these teams out of the poll.

I am glad Stevens has gotten love from more than one voter; they're peaking at the right time.  The other Bobby Hurley's doing a great job with them.

Mr. Y,
Isn't it possible a new poster poll record of 15 ballots may happen this week?

Nope.  We do now have 15 voters (so it may happen sometime), but one has already said he can't, and 3 others not yet heard from.

Any more ballots in the pipeline?  Greg?  PS?  scout?  Bueller ???
