The d3hoops.com poll is now out.  Only three points separate first and second place.

And, barring a monumental swing on the final 2-3 ballots, their #1 is not the PP #1. ;)

(Though the top two are pretty much guaranteed to be the same, just reversed.)

Not surprised, considering where we had those schools last week.

PS - I am pretty sure I have an outlier, but it's not a homer vote. Like I would homer a vote for THAT school?

/no, it's not the school in Greendingle...but they share a nickname....

12 ballots in (and one known to be not coming) - that leaves two of you about two hours (unless you request an extension).  Ballots on the way?! ;)

With Sager's that would tie the PP record!  Did you get that record breaking 14th Ypsi?

No, I haven't heard either way from PS, so I'm guessing no ballot.

I see Greg posting all over the boards, while I'm still waiting for his ballot! :o  Being retired, I DO have all day (and I already know the results :)), but Hoops Fan gets cranky when the poll is delayed! ;D  Get 'er in, Greg!

Sorry, but I've been trying to see if this would be the day I would break five digits on my post count. ;)

Sent my ballot to you five minutes ago, Chuck.

I voted WashU at #5 - that wasn't recorded properly.

Other than that, I was the high on TX-D, Anderson, Wooster, Mississippi College, St. John Fisher, and Stevens and the low on St. Norbert, Chapman, Middlebury and WashU

Had to work late tonight, sorry.

FWIW, my #1 would have gone to Wash U

True.  I doubt that 6-7 gap would have still been there if the poll was thru Monday!  [Only two ballots were sent after EMU thrashed VaWes - one pretty clearly ignored that result (VaWes was 7 slots above EMU), but the other had EMU 3 slots above VaWes (which may have also ignored that result).]

EMU did not have the largest spread of any team, but I suspect it was quite a problem slotting them.  But after Monday, I suspect they would have been in the 4-6 range.  20+ wins over RandyMac, Guilford, and VaWes will cause a lot of forgiveness for their 3 losses! ;D

I was the latter, and, yeah, I ignored EMU's win over VWC Monday night. One of several tracking devices that I use for the purposes of the PP every week is Darryl Nester's "How They Fared" Top 25 update chart in the Top 25 room, which he updates every Sunday; that way, what I'm doing isn't contaminated by any post-Sunday contests.

Speaking of tracking devices, another one that I use -- Massey -- was instrumental in my decision to leapfrog Wash U above Williams this week. The SOS discrepancy between the two teams, combined with the impressive road trip by the Bears last weekend, was just too big for me to ignore.

Wow. Just ... wow. I was the high vote on Randy Mac, and I was the only voter who gave the back of his hand to F&M, but I have nothing to worry about. I am clearly unfit even to iron Captain Outlier's cape. ;)

Then again, Massey has Williams ahead of WashU in their overall rankings.
