Carthage finished two games ahead of Illinois Wesleyan in the CCIW race (12-2 to 10-4) and, of the four games that the two teams played against each other, the lone head-to-head blowout was in favor of Carthage (a 25-point win for the Red Men in Kenosha in February). Illinois Wesleyan obviously had a better run in March, but there's nothing implausible about ranking the Red Men ahead of the Titans if you're looking at the bigger picture of the entire season.

I look forward to participating this year.  If we throw it out early we might just see a big turnout.  I see RT is in, that's 2.

1903, thanks for bringing the board up to the top of the page.  I would have done it sometime in the next few days to remind potential voters to start paying attention to top teams around the whole country.

Our first poll of the season will probably be for games thru Jan 9, with ballots due by 6pm EST on Tues, the 11th.  If for any reason that changes, I'll post it here.

I can find my two cents worth on a weekly basis ???

Mr. Ypsi

The 2011 Posters' Poll will commence this week - thru games of Jan 9!

We've got about 6-7 posters committed so far - more are welcome.  (I'll be sending out PMs to all past voters who have not yet piped up.)  I'd especially welcome voters from the South and from the left coast, but we can use anyone who is a fan of the national d3 scene.

The procedure is simple - send me a ballot (1-25 teams) by PM by 7PM (EST) on Tuesdays.  I prefer more voters over timeliness, so will generally hod the 'publication' if a voter requests, but it sure would be nice to EVER get one out by early Tuesday evening! ;)

As always, I reserve the right to reject ballots that are obvious 'homerism' (though I have never had to assert that right).  And, as always, please check your PMs as the deadline approaches - I sometimes DO ask about seemingly errant omissions (which have usually turned out to be errant omissions!). ;)

Well, I have never cast a ballot for Wabash in this poster's poll, but you know this year it won't be homerism!

This year, fully understood!

If they can take down Wooster Saturday (and I picked the LGs in the national pickems) even a #1 vote would not be rejected for homerism! ;)

Mr. Ypsi

Reminder to all potential voters - this year's edition of the PP begins with games thru tomorrow.  Please submit ballots (by PM to me) by 7PM (EST) on Tuesday.

With undefeated Amherst edging previously undefeated Williams in OT, and undefeated Wooster barely holding off a furious late game charge by previously undefeated Wabash, it is a great time to start voting! ;D

Usually I don't make projections of how teams rank before going through all of them and trying to be objective.  This year I've been on the Wooster bandwagon since day one.  Hopefully I can evaluate them fairly.

Mine is in.  If Lyndon State upsets Middlebury, then I request the chance to amend the poll.

I don't think they are eligible for post-season play until next year, but I have no rule against voting for them in the poll.
