It's too late this season, but how do you become part of this "poster's poll??"

Send a $10,000 check to P.O. Box 1970, Ypsilanti MI 48198. ;D  Actually:

Extremely simple - just PM me a ballot.

As long as you don't violate the (minimal) rules, you're in.  (Rules explained several times in the previous 192 pages! ;)  Basically, as long as you submit a ballot before Tuesday evening, and don't submit one that seems TOO homerish - a rule I maintain but have never had to evoke in 7 years - you're in.)

It is NOT too late to join this season - this week we will probably welcome two (other) new posters.  Based on what I've seen of your posts and picks, I'd encourage you to join us.

7 express,
You should do it, you'd fit right in. And Mr. Ypsi might finally be able to set a new Posters' Poll record for number of ballots cast. 8-) He's been on the verge for oh, about 3 years, but can never get over the hump. Instead of getting all giddy over the super bowl he'd be in a tither over his super poll. ;D

So basically me voting Western Connecticut #1 would automatically disqualify me no matter who I had for the other 24??

The last 3 years, maybe not; this year, at 5-15, YES! ;D

We are on a 1 game winning streak however which is more then like a 3rd of the poll can say now after all the carnage that happened yesterday  ;D

If you want that 1-game winning streak to become a 2-game winning streak, then do not give Western Connecticut a #1 vote!   :)

In fact, most of us voters see the teams that we think are hot fall in the most unusual games to the most unusual foes!

RHIT over Transy?  Yeah, the game makes sense.

Float RHIT past some of this week's carnage
Keep a close eye on Transy, at least on your watch list.
Re-assess next Sunday after more carnage!

I'll send my first ballot of my posting career in at some point today

7express

Just sent mine in: 1-3 were very easy (I'll let you decide, once Mr Y posts the results, I'll post mine).  21-25 I pretty much had no idea.  I had about 10 teams for those 5 slots, and not only were selecting 5 difficult, placing them in order was even more challenging.

Mine is in.  Thanks Darryl.  +1!

Greek Tragedy

Power outage here in Sheboygan...I mean, New Orleans. I won't have mine in until tomorrow night, at the earliest.

I, too, was delayed by the Super Bowl, though it only took me about 10 minutes once the refs had finished screwing the Niners (I had already mostly figured out who was who before the game started).  What a comeback!  But that non-call on blatant pass interference in the end zone with 1:50 left was the killer - should have been SF 1st and goal at the one! >:(

The ball was thrown out of bounds anyways.  And just be thankful that was even a game.  If the intern at the superdome pays the electric bill, the Ravens win that game by 30.  Way to close for comfort for me.  Yes, I am a Ravens fan.

My younger son, who is not a Ravens fan but 'hates' the Ravens less than he 'hates' the Niners, thought there should be no call because the Niner receiver pushed off - I contended that was irrelevant because the defender held AFTER the push-off, but conceded it might have been an OK no call because the pass was uncatchable.  But I remain unconvinced - it would have been a GREAT play to both catch it and come down inbounds, but I think it was possible.  And Ravens fan or not, that IS a great comeback, scoring 17 points in 4:10!

Now back to REAL sports!

Greek Tragedy

I'm with your son.  I hate the Ravens less than I hate the 49ers, partly because I'm a Packers fan, I guess.  Anyway, I suppose I wouldn't have been completely upset had they called pass interference on that play.  Part of me feels like it was uncatchable as well.  I'm just glad the 49ers didn't win because we'd have to talk about "Kaepernicking" for a year.  Plus, Ray Lewis gets to ride off in the sunset as a champion, whether or not he was involved in that killing years ago.  Like him or hate him because of that, he's a great football player.
