Hoops Fan, I strongly disagree.  In fact, I feel like the top of D3 is very strong this year -- I think there are at least four teams this year, maybe as many as six, that are more talented than two teams from each of the past two Final Fours.  And I think Stevens Point is about on par with the last two champions.

Whoever wins this year is going to go down as among the weakest champions of the last decade.  I just don't see any team out there I'd like to even make a Final Four in most other years.

I also strongly disagree with this...I think there are several great teams out there that are every bit as good, or better than, Final Four teams in the last 5 years or so.  As I've watched games all season (online), I've been considering 2013-14 as a really good one for Division III.

Or, conversely, there's more parity and that makes the strongest teams look 'weaker' by comparison because they aren't throttling the mid-pack teams.

I agree with this, however. Well, except for a few conferences. As discussed before, the MWC comes to mind. I think the whole conference is down, making St. Norbert possibly look better than they are. But there are conferences that are doing very well as a whole. I think the jury is still out on the Green Knights and will be until the tourney comes and they play someone other than the MWC.

Just sent mine in.  Not as difficult as I thought it would be.

I found 1-9 quite easy.*  From 10-19 was really, really hard - every candidate was deeply flawed in some way or other.  20-25 was easier: teams I was pretty sure I wanted barely in the Top 25; just had to decide where.

Top 9: probably 5 minutes.  20-25: probably less than that, since such few points will barely register anyway.  10-19: over an hour. :P

*7express, our top 9 are identical, except for flipping 4,5 and 7,8!

Yeah, it wasn't too bad.

I am happy St. Olaf and St. Thomas are playing again this week.  That should settle some things in my mind.

Also, I'll announce my last team out this week: #26, Mt. Union.

Mine is in as well, earlier than my normal Monday night ballot.

hopefan

retirement will allow the old hopefan join in this kind of fun next season!!   ;D ;D
The only thing not to be liked in Florida is no D3 hoops!!!

Mr. Ypsi

sac has joined us (but hinted this may be his only week - hopefully he'll somehow find the time to continue).  We've now had 10 different voters this season - it would be nice if they all would vote the same week!  (Haven't heard from John Gleich since week 2, and hopefully KnightSlappy was not just a one-time voter.  I have faith in the loyalty of FCGriz; he never votes before Tuesday anyway, so I'm not worried.  Don't know what happened to such long-time voters as Ralph and Gregory.)

And hopefan, glad to see you intend to join - just don't put TOO many SLIAC teams in the top 10! ;D

We're currently up to seven - keep 'em coming!

Has Ralph even been on the boards this year? I haven't seen him any where I've been. ??? With McMurray moving up to D2 I was afraid we may lose him. Or find that his time on the boards will be greatly reduced. He was on early in the season when we were choosing teams for the Undefeated pool (IIRC) but haven't spotted him since.

McMurry had decided to rejoin D3.  But Ralph may be rather distracted.

KnightSlappy

I won't be making it in this week, hopefully back next week.
