That's a lot of work, as you know. When there is only 7 pollsters, not worth it. When there was 12-15, that was a lot of fun to discuss.

I know and I was hoping that perhaps we could get some renewed interest. Besides, Chuck's retired and I was trying to see that he stays active.

The dog and the grankkids keep me plenty active!

I will compile the poll ONLY if at least ten voters swear that they will actively participate. It was just too frustrating in later years to wait until Wednesday or Thursday to finally put out a 'poll' of 5 or 6 voters. It was really enjoyable in the early years, but it may have just run its course.

With this coaching I'm doing I'm not even following D3 closely enough to put out a top 25 poll anyways that would be "reasonable" so unfortunately I would have to pass this year (hell I didn't even know Chris Newport was ranked, yet alone #6 until I saw it on the pick em league page yesterday). Now you have about 4 people!

Understandable, and I doubt you'd get 10 unless a bunch of newbies showed up. I know you'd probably have 4 with Grizzlies, Hoops Fan, you and me. After that it would be a crap shoot.

Now if we could get the guys in the Pick 'Em League and the Futures Tournament to come on board we'd be set.

With some of the discussion going on in the Top 25 thread, I thought I'd see if there was interest in resurrecting this. If we can get at least 10 or so I'll run the thing. (We had 10 on the football side this season and you don't want basketball to have less support than them do you?)
Votes would be after Sunday games and need to be submitted in a timely manner (certainly by Tuesday but preferably by Monday)
Only say you're interested if you'll participate every week (or almost every week... I know you have lives and vacations and such) and not disappear before the end of the tournament.

Ill do this! I may not put as much time in as a real voter, but I will try my best not to show conference bias

The last year we did this, I was already voting in the real poll (although I hadn't told anyone) - I just submitted my ballot here as well. I;d be happy to do it again, if you want, but I'd also be fine sitting it out if you want it to be just posters.

Well, that's seven (including Ryan), but no more additions in the last 7+ hours. So I would assume the poll is a no go for THIS week, but maybe we can lure in some voters this coming week.

Folks, it IS a fair amount of work to do it right, but think of the benefits to your pickems results! And for those likely to even consider joining, the 'work' is after all a 'labor of love' for d3 hoops!

The way it's going right now I'd lean toward not this week, but I'm going to message a few people and just posted in the Top 25 thread. If we're going to have one this week I'll send a PM by tomorrow afternoon at the latest... probably should have tried to start this early in the week rather than on a Saturday
