I think we've gained some respect, since now people are lobbying US for votes! Heh...

atnwriter is auctioining his vote on the women's board!  :)

I doubt we've gained THAT much respect!  (But just in case, send me a PM to make an offer!) ;D

Actually, I appreciate that bit of lobbying - Utica was on my very early list, but had fallen off the radar.  I'll have to check them out again.

I like this multi-region board. Lots of insight into teams I otherwise wouldn't know a lot about.

That being said, remember to give Utica College some love! With their win over St. John Fisher this week, bringing their record to 12-2, things are looking up in Central New York.

I've seen Fisher play this year and they weren't that impressive.  Had a lot of trouble with RIT, who is no powerhouse.  12-2 is good, but if that's their signature win....they've got a ways to go.

Fisher is getting better each game. They aren't as good as they were in past years, but at 12-3 they aren't a slouch either. They have some great freshmen.

Honestly, at this point in the season, this years Utica team is better than the one that went to the sweet 16 last year. They play great as a team and have height that they did not have last year. They may have lost two 1000 point scorers (1 had more than 1500), but they play great team ball. UC went 2-1 without their all-american Ray Bryant who missed 3 games. Don't be surprised if they knock off a team or two that is supposed to be far superior like they did when they wrecked wpi on their home court last season.

I will confess my lack-of-enthusiasm for the Mid-Atlantic/New York/Atlantic teams (top of the UAA/NESCAC excepted) because of how poorly they do when they run into Great Lakes Region powerhouses.  When I start looking at the Top 25, I have more trouble trying to figure out why I am omitting the #5 CCIW or the #3/#4 WIAC or the #2/#3/#4 OAC or some other Great Lakes Region contender.  (Have I missed a good HCAC team?)

I am conceding JHU as the tip of a "very low-floating" iceberg, and maybe because of how much love they may be getting from the voters in the formal Top 25 in the Mid-Atlantic/ Atlantic/ East Regions.  They got 55 points last week.  JHU may be getting 0 votes on 5 ballots, #24/#25 on 10 ballots (there's 15 points), and the remaining 10 votes from that part of the country have them around #22 for their other 40 points.   :-\

I haven't even begun looking at the weekend scores yet.  I'll get to it soon and my assuredly unorthodox ballot will be right in.

Mine's in.  Witt finally ran out of benefit-of-the-doubt points with me.  They dropped precipitously.  Hope came very close to making it in with me this week, as did Utica.

We've been stuck on 7 ballots since before noon.  Times running low - let's hear from the rest of the crew!

I'm in.  Can't wait to be vindicated once again for leaving a consensus top 10 team off my ballot only to have them lose mightily down the stretch.

Careful, Hoops, these things can go in cycles.  This year you'll probably never cast a vote all season for the eventual national champion!

Just remembered this post from a while back, which could be a really good omen for all the Flying Dutch fans out there!

Yes we are quite proud of our women's program........we can always hope your vibes will help the men's program...the Flying Dutchmen. ;)

Mine is on its way shortly, I've just decided Stevens Point is so far ahead of everyone that I wouldn't bother ranking them this week. ;) :D

Yes, but for some reason not for about 3 hours (PMs have generally be essentially instantaneous).

I'll hold the balloting open for another hour for PS - anyone else?
