Mr. Ypsi

The original deadline has passed, but only 5 ballots so far.  I'll hold off a while in hopes that some past regulars (or some newcomers!) will heed this plea: MORE BALLOTS!

(Also, I've PM'ed one voter for a clarification.)

Gregory Sager

Chuck, I'll send you a ballot, but it'll have to wait until later tonight. I have to get over to NPU and keep score for the women's game right now.

Sorry, I missed out.  The next couple weeks could be sketchy for me.  If I get a chance to do them on Mondays, I'll send them in - other wise - my apologies.

I surrender - we'll try for better next week. :-[

Only six ballots (and three past voters I PM'ed will be unable to participate, three others did not respond - if you've got any likely candidates in mind - LEAN ON 'EM!)

FIRST POSTERS' POLL OF 2009:

1.  Wheaton        148 (1,1,1,1,2,2)
2.  St. Thomas     145 (1,1,2,2,2,3)
3.  Wash U          137 (2,3,3,3,4,4)

18. CMU              48 (12,15,18,19,21,23)
19. Elms               39 (14,15,16,23,23,-)

24. Elmhurst        14 ((21,21,23,25,-,-)

25. Bethel              5 (5)  [I refuse to put a team named on ONE ballot with the top 25!]
_____

t26. Centre         4 (22)
t26. Rochester    4 (23,25)
t26. Salem St.     4 (22)
t26. Willy Pat      4 (23,25)
t30. Chapman    2 (24)
t30. Randy Mac   2 (24)
t32. Carthage     1
t32. DeSales       1
t32. Gettysburg   1

*NOTE - UWW was entirely omitted from one ballot - I suspect it was inadvertent, but never got a clarification from the voter.  IF so, and UWW received the median vote, they would be 6th.

It is embarrassing to have a #25 who was named on ONE ballot (which is NOT meant to dis Bethel) - we have GOT to get more voters! :o

Thanks for doing it again this year!

I hope that a SCIAC voter(s) is contributing!

I've approached several directly (and made a general appeal on the SCIAC board), but no dice.  So if OxyBob complains, ignore him! :D

Gregory Sager

My apologies, Chuck. I promise I'll submit one next week.

Uh, um .. can't remember. :P

You know, that guy who's corrupting our April! ::)

[BTW, OB is one I directly appealed to - he said that he didn't know enough beyond the SCIAC.  Hmm ... :o ;D]

I'll admit that I missed UW-W. I did this quickly. I'm starting a new consulting biz out of the home and am balancing that with kid corralling at night. So, um, I missed one.

I also was the one who voted for Bethel, but after they lost to Gustavus that won't happen next week. I gave them some love after playing St. Thomas pretty tough.

Normally we would vote you off the island for those 2 infractions but we are desparate.  ;)

April

You guys are so silly. :P

Mine's in.  This was a quick week, and Darryl Nester's Top 25 summary helps a great deal! Thanks Darryl, and +1!  :)

sac

Are we even doing one this week?

......and may I suggest just a top 20, I think you might get more participation if you did that.

Despite the mourning of the Dutchmen, the poll must go on! :D

We debated ranking fewer teams last year, but the strong sentiment was to retain 25.

smedindy

25 or fight! Heck, why not rank 'em all?

Ok...maybe not.
