I'm curious about Wheaton.  You can't totally ignore their three losses when Raymond was out (or sub-par), but now that he's healthy again they are back to destroying good teams.  While I can't in good conscience vote them there now, it would not at all surprise me if they finish the season back at #1.

The most recent SOS numbers (http://d3hoops.com/salem/09/owp.htm) show Wheaton at #10 and these numbers don't include wins (double-digit) against Calvin and Ohio Wesleyan.  Wheaton has the same record as Point does, but the Wheaton team that gathered the 3 loses is different than the Wheaton team that is playing now.  A healthy Raymond makes the Thunder a Top 2 or 3 team.  It may be near impossible to tell the exact order of the teams at the top and I think the points will reflect this.

Five ballots already in (including a prior year voter who had not voted yet this year) - I have high hopes for a new 2009 record turnout. ;)

This week sucked.  I was able to knock a ton of teams off my "to watch" list, which will make the rest of the season a lot easier to follow.

However, after my top seven (in alphabetical order: Platteville, Puget Sound, St. Thomas, Stevens Point, WashU, Wheaton, Whitewater), I'm not sure there's another team that's worthy of the Top 15.

I don't know that there's much difference on my poll between #8 and #25.  It's a huge free for all in the middle, which may mean a really good tournament this year.

One thing, upon going back and looking at everyone's level of play for the whole season, I think we might be underestimating the ODAC teams (RMC and Guilford) a little.

Yeah, if their name doesn't start with a "P", an "S" or a "W", they ain't worth...  :D

Works even better if you just refer to St. Thomas as 'that undefeated team from St. Paul'. ;)

We've now tied our season high with nine ballots.  If sac comes through, we'll set a new season record.  Anyone else wanna join in?

I know I promised but difficult circumstances have come up and I won't be able to do one this week.  Sorry.

For the first time this season, I was not the only person to vote for any of these schools.  Now, I'm the outlier on a number of them, but not as many as I have been traditionally.

True on all points.  I was amazed that with nine voters, we were only eight teams over the minimum (pretty sure that's a record in the four years I've done the poll).

Gah!  We're all starting to think alike! :o ;D

I think there's a stratum of teams that are in consideration - the fact that 20 teams all received some top 25 consideration says to me that we know who the worthy are - it's just ranking them that's the fun (?) part (!)

It seems we all tend to agree on UW-W and Capital!

I've gone ahead with turning in a top 25 for week 11.
