.....and just so we're clear, I was not the Hope voter........flattering.

And for the fourth straight week, I voted IWU at or within one spot of where they placed. ;)

I've noted VERY little team, conference, or regional bias among voters.  A tad, perhaps, from a couple of voters, but ONLY a tad.

I like the voting pool. :)

It only knocks Colby from #23 to #25, and it brings Willy Pat and MIT into a tie.

Hugenerd has a bigger calculator, but my post is "prettier".   :D

Unfortunately I didnt have my calculator on me, so I just did some quick mental math. But we did have the same general conclusions.

Actually, looking at your numbers and my numbers and double-checking, I think some of your numbers are off.  For example, Williams had 303, knocking off a 1 and a 5 is (25+21), so their new total is 303-46=257 (not 267). Similarly, in the case of MIT, they had 188, knocking off a 6 and a 16 is (20+10), which brings them to 188-30 = 158.  For Midd, 167 minus a 4th and a 21 is (22+5) = 167-27 = 140. Carthage, 106 minus an 8 and a 25 is (18+1), or 106-19 = 87. IWU had 42, they lose a 16 and a '-' (10+0), 42-10 = 32.

Make a case for Medaille or  Franklin and Marshall in the top 25 for me.

Both have played very weak schedules.  Since people like to sight Massey........F&M 293, Medaile 368 schedule strength.

I have to look at the numbers later.  This is the argument I made against St Norberts being as high as they are too.

St. Norbert's is #133, which is higher than Williams #225 and William Patterson's #207

West Region has 4 of top 8, hopefully all four won't be staring at each other in the sweet 16.  I know, it's early...just last year was so brutal.  Regional rankings released today...is their any region ranking around?

Thanks for the input.

I saw the HPU-Anderson boxscore and wondered about them.

They do not seem to have the team depth necessary to be one of the Top 25 teams in the country.  They only go 7 deep.  They had a 10 point lead over HPU (4-11/4-15) at the half, but apparently could not put them away at home after HPU drove 1095 miles.  I don't doubt that they aren't talented, but that performance did not inspire me to compare Anderson versus UMHB, UT-Dallas and Mississippi College.

I've been giving Anderson the benefit of the doubt because they've been winning and actually beaten decent teams.  Their schedule is much stronger than MIT or St. Norbert.

Right now I've got the really strong teams at the top, then Anderson, followed by MIT and St. Norbert.  Then I have a string of teams I think should be higher, but will have ton win their way up the rankings.

It's just a weak 15-45.
