Eastern Mennonite has gotta fall decently far, right?  Hmmm...  #11 beat #14 in a conference game at home by 5 points.  Sounds about right to me.  The ODAC is one conference for which I have to cut some slack.   ;)

Am I correct in saying that their only win of substance is the home win against Ferrum?

Marietta will fall too.

Next week will be difficult.

Any suggestions on who should jump in?
As for the OAC, one of the most balanced conferences in the country.  How many teams do they have between #25 and #100?  They seem to beat up on themselves!

But why are they #14 to begin with? This is why I never start with the previous week's poll and "adjust" based on what happened. New week, new slate.

Alright, I did the best I could with 16-25; this was rough.

I'm surprised you made it thru 15! :D  My 1-12 went as fast as I could write 'em down - after that I wanted to write 'vacant' for about 7-8 slots!  (I finally got a ballot, but I'm not happy with ANY of the 13-25 being much above 20.)

Mine's in.

I ran out of Top 25's after about #16.  My top 12 were easy, too.

I wish that the ASC were competing in the East, Atlantic, Mideast or Great Lakes Regions!

It looks as tho' some teams will have an easy run to the Sweet 16 unless the committee can move some brackets around in ODAC country.

I felt like 13, 14, and 15 were a cut above, although it would have been nicer to have them at 18, 19, and 20.

Apparently my view is shared by many.  With 6 ballots in, ALL 72 top 12 votes are the same 12 teams!  After that it is sheer chaos! ::)

Mr. Ypsi

Still only seven ballots - I trust there are plenty more coming overnight or tomorrow?!

The top 12 is still unanimous.  (Obviously I'm not gonna say which 12 teams that is and 'pollute' later ballots! :P)  I recall a couple of years ago where we went two or three weeks with a unanimous top 7 (perhaps it was even 8), but if there has ever been a unanimous top 12, I certain didn't notice it.

Still chaos below, though ballot number 7 actually reduced the number of 'orphans' by two.  Perhaps we have achieved a 'top 36' (though I doubt it)! 8-)

And the carnage has already begun anew as the 2 Top 25 teams in action lose tonight.

This is why the poll gets slightly tainted. Top 25 scores that aren't known to those of us that turn in a ballot after Sunday's games and before Monday's games will probably result in higher placements by us for those Top 25 teams, than they will for the later pollsters, who now know that certain teams have suffered a loss. We know for sure that 2 teams in the Top 25 will be affected by this. There might also be teams just outside the Top 25 that play on Monday night and by submitting a poll on Tuesday, a person would have more information to make a decision on those teams than someone who submitted their ballot prior to Monday's tipoff. My poll submitted right now would definitely be different than the one I submitted early this morning. I know Mr. Ypsi wants to get as many opinions as possible but there should be a deadline of tipoff on Monday to submit your poll. This would also guarantee that our pollsters are turning in a ballot without the help of the lastest D3hoops poll because that usually isn't available until late Monday night. Just a thought Mr. Y, but I think it makes the poll more accurate if we all turn them in around the same time. That still gives us most of Sunday and Monday to do a 25 team poll. Usually the only Top 25 teams that play on Sunday are the UAA and after this week's poll that may not be the case. :o (Although Brandeis will probably hang around in the 20's.)

What do the rest of you guys think? We have a pretty good group of posters in the poll and the participants that I know of are all very knowledgeable about D3 hoops. I just think our poll would benefit and produce a more accurate end result if we are all submitting our ballots based on the same information.

In order to increase participation, he's being flexible, and as I can have a chaotic schedule, I applaud it.

Mr. Ypsi

I've thought about that (and worried about that), but also monitored it.  I haven't found any noticeable difference between polls submitted before or after the d3.hoops poll.  As to Monday games, I'll watch again as the Tommies and St. Mary's went down (personally, I never had the Tommies above #5 anyway, though they had four votes of 1-3; I'll keep an eye on tomorrow's ballots).

I submitted late Monday and disregarded Monday's results in my ballot and the new poll.  Thank God and Darryl for "How they fared".
