Based on earlier posts, I'm still hoping for at least one more ballot (we HAVE now hit 12, due to a submission by someone who did not post earlier), but I am exhausted and falling asleep.  Poll will be up tomorrow (hopefully with 13+ ballots!).

WIMP. :D

Actually, I'm still here so far, but don't think I'll last as long as I'd be willing to hold out for the promised ballot!  Perhaps I'm just too much of an optimist, but I WANT that extra ballot! :D

I bet it never shows up.            (There that should guarantee that it shows up. ;D)

Wait a minute.  I was the only Anderson voter last week.  They lost again this week, I dropped them from my ballot, but someone else picked them up?

That's odd.

...and yes, I put Ithaca back in.

Which team has the longest current winning streak in the country, (tied with WPI and Salem State with 13 in a row) has a 20-3 record, and the 3 losses are by a total of of 7 points. Oh, one more thing, they're not in the top 25 and haven't been all year long. But they have beaten 2 teams that have been ranked, a total of 3 times.

I had IWU at #25 and left off Rochester.

Let me see how Rochester finishes on the road, at CMU, at Case and at Emory.

I also had Ramapo instead of Hope.  However, putting Rochester and Hope in the bottom of my poll does not change any of the positions on the poll.

I've had Rochester for the past 3 weeks, but then I'm probably showing my East Coast bias. But even if the UAA is down a little this year, it's still better than some of the other conferences whose teams have received or are getting top 25 recognition. And the team I wrote about in my previous post I've had in the poll for the past 4 weeks but no one has noted them until this week when someone else gave them a mention.

I feel somewhat vindicated for not having Augustana in the top 10.  It was really the only spot I was a little uneasy about.

I've been creeping Augie up - just because they keep surviving and the conference is tough, even in a down year.  I haven't been impressed by their resume.  I'm glad to be able to bump them down a bit.

I'm toying with voting North Central #25 though.  Rough 2010, but 2011 has been stellar.

Imagine, a Top 25 without a worthy UAA or CCIW team.

Where would Rochester and the CCIW #1 finish in their conferences in previous years?

KnightSlappy

I had Augie #9. I might keep them there.

Gregory Sager

This year's Augie team would be solid in any CCIW season, Ralph. I'm not saying that the 2010-11 edition of the Doggies would win any random CCIW season into which they were parachuted -- that's certainly not the case -- but they'd acquit themselves well. It's a very good team. I have no hesitation in saying that they're worthy of the Top Ten.

I realize that some of you outside the CCIW's precincts are looking for an excuse to penalize Augie, and, seeing as how the Rock Islanders have just lost to 15-10 North Central in what's been a down year for the league anyway, you feel as though you now have that excuse. That's fine. But consider this: Augie lost by four on North Central's floor, and at least Hoops Fan is beginning to catch on to the fact that this Cardinals squad is not just any 15-10 team. Their post-holidays turnaround has been nothing short of miraculous, and they're going to be a very tough out if they somehow get into the D3 tourney.

It was Senior Night at North Central.

Augustana    11-2    11-3
North Central (Ill.)    11-3
Wheaton (Ill.)    9-5
Carthage    9-5
Illinois Wesleyan    8-5  9-5

If IWU beats Augie on Tuesday night, we have co-champs and a 3-way tie for 3rd/4th.

Who gets left out?

What's the odds on each of top 5 teams from CCIW getting the AQ?
