Mr. Ypsi

We're now at 10 - not enough!  Greg? Kilted Bryan? pbrooks? Point Special? (I won't even beg for Old School who just became a daddy! :D) Bueller? Anyone?

Midnight EST, but if anyone will promise to have one after that, I'm flexible.

Gregory Sager

I'll probably put one together after tonight's games are done. (Of course, I won't take said games into consideration, as per the rules.)

I think I'll get one in by the midnight deadline--also busy watching other games right now!

Gotta love the #25 vote for EMU.

Aug gets a 3-15 spread????

St. Norbert #9?

Super outlier in Carleton!

I wonder who kept Whitworth at #1?? :o :-X ;D

It must be a matter of conflict of interest and failure of a voter to recuse themselves from emotionally over-estimating a team's competence and prowess.   :D

Actually, Williams was 24-1 by the deadline for games considered.

Losing your only game of the season to a team then undefeated (now 23-2), while missing your best player, then beating them in the rematch, COULD be considered better than losing your only game of the year to a team who is now 18-7.  Just sayin'! 8-)

NOT a knock - I think a legitimate case for #1 could be made for just about any of the top 11 teams - some cases stronger than others! :D

As to the other outliers: from a newbie voter, I might have questioned any or all of them.  The EMU vote was from a valued voter who, for whatever reason, does not think much of EMU - sh*t happens. :D  The other three outliers were all from the same voter whose opinions I greatly value (don't always agree with them, but value nonetheless :-X).

Williams 24-1 (22-1 in-region) thru 19Feb11

Whitworth was 24-1 (in-region 24-1, too) thru 19Feb11

Pirates have a better in-region W/L.   ;)

Ralph Turner

I had 24 of 25.  (I had Witt instead of Ferrum and not Oswego.)

As a Williams fan, I guess the thinking of the voters is that it is Williams' turn to be number one. There really isn't much to distinguish the top 6-12 teams. Even in the NESCAC, nobody knows who the best team is. Amherst has lost to Williams and Middlebury, both away. Midd lost to Williams, away. Williams lost to Amherst, away. I heard Dave Hixon from Amherst on Hoopsville the other night say that he thinks that all three of these teams are final 4 type teams. I agree. I would think that there are probably at least another 5-10 teams that are also final 4 teams. I hope I get to see Whitworth play this year. They could be the best this year. They haven't even been tested, except in their brain-dead performance at Whitman.
