I think Ypsi fell asleep working on the poll.
The Ypster, probably twice as old as you, will outlast you in the wide awake department any day of the week.

Yes, of course, I have a seven month old.  That's why I was making the comment.  Some of us need to go to bed.

Even before you had the 7 month old he had your number. I remember you leaving Mr. Ypsi and a few other of us fantasy players high and dry on draft night on more than one occasion and the clock had not struck 11 bells. There was no 7 month old then. ???

Nope, then it was a 5am wake up call for dry cleaning delivery.  It's a sad state of affairs growing up.  I always pined for a job that went from 10-6, but it's not worked out that way.

Plus, if I'm defending not spending more time on the boards, I'll take that any day.

Because of the carnage this week, I don't think my list, especially in the middle, is all that great, but it's the best I could do this week.

Not true, Chuck. Oney Guillen most certainly was a member of the 2006 NPU baseball team. He just wasn't very good.

My bad.  I remembered he was at NPU, and yeah, I guess he was sorta on the team!  "Guys!  Even with a slugging% and OBP below .300, come to NPU and you too can get a contract with a major league team!"*

You clearly know nothing about Luke Johnson, Chuck. He's the last guy on Earth who would start a player on his team out of sheer nepotism.

The fact of the matter is that it was his second season after inheriting what had been a 1-39 team the year before. The rebuilding Vikings still weren't very good in 2006, and that was reflected in the subpar performance of starting shortstop Oney Guillen.

Sorry if I somehow implied he played for NPU only because of family connections - that is not my belief not was it my intention.  I was attempting a humorous recruiting pitch the NPU baseball program could use! ;D  "Come to NPU; even our subpar players get drafted!"

Gregory Sager

In truth, Oney Guillen was an embarrassment. White Sox fans well remember Tweetgate and his role in that episode, and from everything I heard Oney was every bit as much of a loose cannon when he wore an NPU uniform as he was when he blasted White Sox pitcher Bobby Jenks on Twitter.

There was a bit of a buzz around campus when NPU first got Oney, but that buzz died fast once people realized that he was a minus rather than a plus for the program.

Hold on, hold on.........how many Luke Johnson's are there over there?

Gregory Sager

Luke Johnson, the NPU baseball coach, is the only one that matters in my book.

Luke Johnson, the erstwhile Carthage basketball player who is now a Benedictine basketball player, stopped mattering to me once he transferred out of the CCIW.

Don't worry about expressing your opinions candidly; you don't!  We (collectively) had already decided that d3hoops.com had them grossly over-ranked at #14 (we had them #23); losing to (then) winless Washington College was the last straw! ;)

What I love best about PP is NONE of us has much sway!  We ARE a feisty bunch! 8-)
