My wife just asked me, what could I possibly be reading at midnight.. I told her post by Hoops Fan. She says, oh does he work for State Farm?

I don't think you do.. but I do hope you're wearing khakis.

One more day gentlemen!

I think you should get into this pjunito.  I always enjoy your thoughts on the GNAC board, plus Mr. Ypsi is always looking for new members and more ballots to tally.

I finished going through all the teams.  Amazingly, I ended up with 25 teams in my "rank-worthy" list.  I'm not sure if they all really belong there, but it's a good place to start.  Now I just have to rank them all, go through the next section to make sure there aren't any that need to be bumped up and we'll be good to go.

The only thing I know thus far: Stevens Point is #1.  By far.  Not even close.

Thanks 7,

I think I need one more year. I am learning more about the regions and different teams around the nation. I am still too bias to New England. lol. Maybe next year, Mr. Ypsi would allow me to vote. I read every post and learn a lot from the faithful posters.

Just sent mine in.  Since I saved my trial run, wasn't that difficult.  Only times I ran into problem were:
1) At the bottom in the 23-25 range.  Both my #24 & #25 teams in the trial run suffered mid week losses, but so did my first team out and next one out as well.
2) If at all possibly, I tried to take head-to-head victories into account when ranking.  Obviously not applicable to Augustana's victory over Illinois Wesleyan OR Augustana's loss to Wheaton because the gap was too large, but if it was at all manageable I put the head-to-head victor out on top.......for now anyways.

Greek Tragedy

I'm going to have to pass this year.  :-[ I just can't completely commit. I barely keep up with all the leagues I run! :'(

Yeah, that was tough.  I decided to include the undefeated teams (most of them) near the bottom, so things get tricky.  It's still way too early in the year for me to make much of the list.  I never know how to prioritize no losses on a week schedule against too many on a good one.

It's in, though, so we'll see.

I did have one high profile omission - so that will be fun.

Four ballots already in and tallied - hoping for double-digits.  Keep on sending 'em!

Hoops Fan, a second omission was also pretty high profile (both appear likely to easily make the top 20 [maybe top 15] despite you) - and I did have issues with several of your picks.  You ARE trying for the 'Captain Outlier' badge! :o

Nonetheless, I value your participation - carry on!  (I said I had 'issues' with those picks; not that I flat-out objected to them!)

When do you post the poll again, Tuesday evening at some point??

After looking at the d3hoops poll (something I don't really do all season until I've made my first poster poll ballot) I had some issues with my picks, too.  But going back and looking at the teams and schedules, I just didn't see where all the hype was coming from (other than reputation).

I know Texas-Dallas as high as I have them is wacked out.  I tend to overvalue the level of competition in Texas, but that's the only one I really, really didn't like putting where I did.  There's just so many teams with bad losses and so many lacking good wins.

I'm hoping conference play over the next couple of weeks will get things sorted out.  I'm pretty happy with my Top 8, though, which is unusual.

It could have been much worse.  My first pass at the poll left Whitewater out entirely (and had Platteville in).

I've been Captain Outlier longer than you've been aware this poll existed.  I've wandered from my rebel ways the last few years (I lacked the time to do proper research and relied to heavily on the d3hoops poll).  I'm back now and ready to reclaim the throne.

Aaargh - you procrastinators must be trying to make me pull out the rest of my hair!  A great start - 4 ballots before 11pm Sunday, but only 2 more over the next 20+ hours.  I haven't heard the intentions of a number of long time voters, such as Gregory Sager, Ralph Turner, sac, Knightslappy, etc.  Come on, guys, let's get to 12 or 13!

I'll post the poll Tuesday evening IF we're at 10+ and no one declares they will definitely submit if I hold it longer.

FCGrizzliesGrad

My ballot is now in... and it looks almost nothing like the d3h poll. I have 7 teams on my ballot not in the top 25 and four teams that are ranked in the top 12 are absent from my ballot. Apparently I'm seeing something completely different than the d3h pollsters. I'm interested to see if our group backs up my observations at all or if I'm just crazy.

We've been stalled at 8 ballots for about ten hours now.  Is there anyone out there intending to submit one, or shall I give up and post?
