Husson's schedule is terrible and they're barely beating most of those teams.

Except for the fact that only five of their games have margins under 10 points. So barely beating most of those teams = whopping at least half upside the head a good one.

Against that schedule, I'd need to see a minimum of 15 point wins without exception and an average margin of victory of like 30 or 35 to rank them.  It's just an abysmal schedule.
As the one who put them 25th, I'll admit that it's more of a ceremonial vote. I'd have them as underdogs against schools I didn't rank like Williams, WPI, St Thomas, etc. But the fact is, out of more than 400 teams, they're one of just 6 that have managed to beat everyone they've faced and that deserves a little bit of respect.
I do the same thing in the football poll when there's an unbeaten like St Scholastica so at least I'm consistent.

I did it for Bowdoin and Messiah.  Husson was a bridge too far.

Just sent my week 2 poll in.

Ryan Scott (Hoops Fan)

I hate my ballot.  I literally abhor it with every fiber in my being.

I was able to narrow down my team list considerably, which is good.  But when it comes to the actual poll, I'm not sure anyone below #14 even deserves to receive votes.

In the end I had 16 teams and three slots remaining.  I literally picked at random (not quite random, but you know, I allowed my subconscious biases to fill in the slots).

This is going to be one heck of a tournament.

Mr. Ypsi

We've been stuck on 5 ballots for 10 hours now - c'mon guys!

Just a reminder that the poll is based on games thru Sunday - if you're considering Richard Stockton, Mt. Union, or St. Thomas, try to ignore the turds they deposited this evening.  Vote as you would have (and should have ;)) done yesterday or early today.

I didn't work on my ballot last night and tonight is bowling night so I still haven't worked on it. I'll get to work on it shortly. It'll get in at some point by tomorrow.
I'd say something about not letting you get comfortable by having everyone sending ballots really early, but I'm sure it'd come back to haunt me during football season ;)

In Stockton's case, it was this afternoon, but same idea.

I'm out this week. Had a great weekend with my girls and didn't think about much else.

Well I know Mr. Y is not still stuck on 5 as I sent mine in early today so he's got at least 6 and the Grizz would make 7.

Yep, I've got seven.  Smed was last week's eighth voter, and he's already posted that he can't do it this week.  So ... any more ballots in the works, or will I have to settle for seven?

The silence is deafening - I'll interpret that as 'no more ballots'. :(

my just missed teams: Calvin, Brockport, Wheaton, Stevenson, Babson, Mount Union, Marietta, and Husson.  Since Stockton lost, looks like I'll finally have Brockport in the top 25 next week.  As to why I still have Newport in the poll: since I had them #18 last week and they went 1-1 last week with the loss @ Mary Washington who is now 13th in my poll, I couldn't drop them out entirely.

Well, I quickly found most of the error - I had three 8th place votes for Augie scored as 7th.  The rest of the problem is too trivial to be worth the effort. ;)
