I almost joined you last week.  My comment was bemoaning the fact that our pool of voters is so small that a single voter could get a team INTO the top 25

What a tight battle it was for 2nd thru 6th (especially 3-6).  We have no consensus on their order, but we mostly agree that they ARE the 2nd thru 6th place teams (for the moment, of course ).

I rarely deduct points for losing to a team I think is better.  Wheaton had a few loses to worse teams, but not many.

Mr. Ypsi,

I think you used the poll I first sent in where  I had  inadvertently left off Wesley. I sent in a corrected poll but am quite sure you didn't use that one. For instance I had Va Wesleyan at 20, Stockton at 23, Wheaton at 22, Mary Washingron at 18, just to name a few, and none of those teams have a placement using those numbers. Somehow you did get Wesley in there at #11 where I wanted them. At least I think that's my vote since you show 9 votes for Wesley and only 1 at #11.

Don't go back and waste your time re-calculating because the placements on the ballot that you used were only off by 1 point and I checked to see if it made a difference in any of the teams' positions and it doesn't. Every team would still be where they are so don't bother. Sorry that my original omission caused a problem.

In comparing our poll with the D3hoops Top 25 poll we have Wheaton at #20 and Va. Wesleyan at #25. They have both those teams in the ORV category at #26 and #27. They have Stockton at #22 and Calvin at #24 while we have them in the ORV category at #29 and #26 respectively. Not a lot of difference concerning the placements of these 4 teams.

The biggest difference in our two polls is the placement of Plattsburgh State. We have the Cardinals at #14 and omitted Wittenberg who wound up in the ORV category at #31. The Top 25 poll has Wittenberg at #23 and Plattsburgh State in the ORV's  at #29. What's interesting is that every one of our voters voted for Plattsburgh State. I'm guessing that our voters might use the Massey Ratings as a guide, maybe more so than the Top 25 voters, since Massey has Plattsburgh ranked quite high in his rating system (#11).
