Shake up is correct, but I only lost 2 teams from my poll, the bottom 10 get pretty interesting.

Good week to lose though I guess, as some teams didn't get punished in my poll as much as others.  I also reward a couple schools with a bump over a couple teams for good wins.

I tip my cap to the real D3Hoops.com voters, tough process.

It was relatively easy to do my poll.  Obviously it took more time to sort out where everyone ended up, but it wasn't too tough narrowing the field to 25.

It's away, Ypsi.

Greek Tragedy

Mine was pretty easy from 1-15 or so...then it got dicey on where to put those mid-range teams that lost.  I had four teams drop out of my poll, but my poll didn't have Ohio Northern in it, as Transy was there in the first place.  My 21-25 is messy with four new teams in there!   I guess I don't like teams losing and they get punished for it!  ;D

I dropped four teams also, but my bottom 5 were pretty sketchy choices to begin with.  Also, I didn't have Puget Sound on the list last week, so I didn't have to drop them this week when they lost to Willamette.

Mr. Ypsi

witt4ever,

I should have thought of this earlier, but in appreciation for the updates (and since that presumably means you are indeed an observer of the national scene), I'd like to invite you to vote!

I planned to stop allowing new votes after last week to maintain continuity of the poll, but I think we could make an exception.  I'd need your ballot by 8pm ET today (or whenever the real poll comes out - I will not release the PP until AFTER th real poll).

Mr. Ypsi

8 ballots are in - I have yet to hear from titanfan, GS, OS, and PS (and w4e if he is interested).  Less than 2 hours, guys, unles the real poll is late.

Mr. Ypsi

Correction: I DO have the ballot ftom OS, I just hadn't checked my email.

titanfan

Ypsi,

I'm finishing up my ballot right now.  I had planned on doing it at lunch today, but ended up getting caught in a meeting.  I'm so sorry!

Mr. Ypsi

Ballots received from titanfan and PS.  I'll hold the polls open for another 30 minutes if GS and w4e wish to participate.

Despite the extreme diversity of views on the first 3 ballots, the last 8 only added 6 more teams.  Since 6 teams were mentioned on only one ballot each, we're actually PRETTY much all on the same page as far as the top 25 (or at least 30 or so).

Take a look at Wartburg: NO one placed them higher than 10th, yet they finished 9th!  Consistency matters!

Greg and witt4ever, you are both certainly welcome to join us next week!

Well done again everyone.

I think we're pretty solid on the top 8 or 9.  Some big matchups coming in the next week or two from the top ......Witt/Woo, Alb/Hope, IWU/Augie

I must just be completely off on the WIAC with my ballot.......and others found it easier than I did to rank Hope ahead of Albion.  I actually dropped Hope to #6 on my ballot despite winning twice last week.  Head-to-head has a big influence on my ballot.  Again this week I think I have 23 of 25 ranked on mine.

My top 7
1. Wooster
2. Wittenberg
3. Lawrence
4. Augustana
5. Albion
6. Hope
7. Illinois Wesleyan

titanfan

Ypsi, what happened to Randolph-Macon?  I'm not totally surprised at them being unranked, but I'm pretty surprised at them getting no votes (based on my insider information and all ;)).

Oh, s*** - thanks for catching that!  They are #18, which drops everyone below that one notch!  I'll 'modify' the poll ASAP.

I have an important question: how did you get this to display correctly?  Whenever I try to put in an '8' followed by a right parenthesis ')', I get this stupid "cool guy" smiley==> 8) How did you manage to override that?  ???
