Thanks to formerbant10, we are now up to 8 voters, but where are you, GS, PS, titanfan (and you, too, witt4ever - you're still welcome)?

In hopes of a higher turnout, I'm exercising my perogotive as poll compiler to extend the polls one extra hour. ;D

Greg, I'm disappointed!

I deliberately misspelled prerogative figuring that would would get you on just about as fast as pre-season vs. nonconference season!  Alas, 'twas not not be! ;D

Oh, well - your ballot would have broken a couple of ties, but otherwise would probably not have changed anything.

I don't know what to make of things when I am responsible for three of the 1 voter also rans.  Whatever, I'm pretty confident about my ballot, but its fun to see how everyone else is thinking.

I'm as big a Lincoln supporter as anyone, but #12? Wow, somebody from NJ loves them!

Unless there is another NJ voter, I had them at 23rd.  They actually moved up a spot on my ballot because teams ahead of them dropped.  I am trying not to drop a team because they are idle and if they keep winning.  If you lose you are given careful scrutiny.  If you lost to a team that I have ranked higher or feel is equal or is a conference rival that weighs in my decision.  A team that loses usually won't move up, unless teams above do worse, but they may stay the same.

I will stand by my Baruch choice at 25, what influenced me the most was the win over WPU.  I have seen that WPU defense two times a year for what seems forever and to break their press and beat them like they did.  I was impressed by Baruch, they are the best team in the Atlantic and if they make it to the tournament they could surprise a team or two.

Yeah, that win was what drew me to consider them, but I just couldn't, in good conscience, consider them for a vote when I was only giving one WIAC team credence.

Nope. That was me. Their power ratings are pretty solid (11th in Wolfe) and they have a good SOS. Yes, they've lost four games but they're almost done with their schedule.

I totally agree, they have been solid all year.  Their R-MC win is looking worse the longer Wansley is out; I guess I forgot about how well they played early on.

Maybe this is the case for keeping the numerical ranking system.

I don't have my ballot in front of me but I think I have all 25 teams on my ballot.  Thats darn good.

Major shakeup in the top 6 coming next poll

What if all of your higher ranked teams win by close margins.  Would you still shake up your top 6?

Well, since many of my ranked teams play each other, then a shakeup would be in order.

I was just commenting for example, I had Augie over IWU on the last ranking, so when IWU lost, I didn't feel the need to change that ranking at all.  I've got Witt over Wooster, so if Witt were to win, there may be no need to shake it up.  I guess I was asking your opinion on that.  Does a team deserve to drop even if they lost to a team you expected them to lose to?

I think that depends on what the teams behind them do also.

At the risk of "groupthink", my Top 24 were in the Poll.  I went with  UW-du jour at #25.  :-\

I only had 21 of the 25.
