Mr. Ypsi

Only eight ballots in - I'm gonna hold the poll open another hour in hopes that the turn-out improves.  FDF?  formerbant?  Greg?  PS?

Knightstalker, I sent a message concerning your ballot - did you get it?

John Gleich

Ypsi,

Just sent my poll... would you mind sending it back, so I can have a record of my pics?  I forgot to copy it before I sent it.  Thanks

I think it was only an oversight.  I can't check right now everything is saved on my computer at work.  It was really difficult this week because I wasn't able to get one together last week.  I started over from scratch basically.  I remember looking at augie and thinking no, that's a little to high, and later, no that's a little too low and I must have just forgot all about them.

If you want to give me a position for Augie, I can then just lower everyone below them one spot.

Greek Tragedy

Maybe he didn't think Augie was worthy of a Top 25 spot and now you are just pressuring him to add them.  Dictatorship! lol.  ;D

I'm awaiting clarification of the ballots from knightstalker and Point Special, but note they are both off-line - arrrrgh!

I'll wait 'til ten (so if anyone else wants to submit before then...).

I certainly don't make a habit of questioning most omissions, but since EVERYONE else had them at least 11th, I figured it was PROBABLY an oversight. ;D

Likewise, with Point Special, he had Amherst at both 8th AND 10th - they had one heckuvan impressive weekend (SOUNDLY beating both Tufts and Bates), but I wasn't sure they deserved TWO spots in the top ten!

And a third poster, who shall go unnamed, also had an omission that I wondered about - he has corrected it (it WAS an oversight).

Even if we are mainly just for fun, I want the poll to accurately reflect posters' intentions, not our accidental screw-ups!

Knightstalker

Put Augie where the poll would place them and move everyone else down a slot.  I was agonizing over number 25 and reluctently gave it to widener.

Actually, I need Sul Ross State to complete the "Tri-fecta" on HPU in Alpine this evening. That would put HPU back into a tie with McMurry. ;)

SRSU 89, Howard Payne 82.  My trifecta is complete!

McMurry and Howard Payne are in a tie for 1st in the ASC-West.

I was just preparing to post the poll when I got your message - I responded by message, but now see you also posted.  I had decided to drop the #10 and move everyone else up (with no 25), but have followed your instructions.  Augie blesses you but York curses you since youy have now broken an 8th place tie!

Results as quickly as I can type them up.

type quicker  ;D ;)

Sorry, sac, but I wanted to try to get it right the first time! ;D

In addition to the notes at the top of the table, note that 7-9 are essentially a dead-heat, 14 and 15 are a veritable tie, and 16-19 are VERY tight.

Note also that for MANY of the teams, the spread in voting is much wider than in previous weeks - all those upsets really did cause some indecision!

Thanks for posting the Poll!

I had more outliers this week than in any of the previous polls.  I had prided myself in trying to anticipate the consensus, and I found my poll numbers to be in the middle of the range, more often than not!

With all of the losses, I threw out the "conventional wisdom" and started over.

I guess that I will see whether I am prescient or crazy!
