Mr. Ypsi, do you still have my poll from last week?  I forgot to send it to my home computer before I ran away from work on Friday.  If you have it please send it to me in an IM.

8 ballots in, 90 minutes to go.

Come on guys - we can make this the best turn-out yet!  Our prodigal guru, GS, has returned to the fold!

John Gleich

There's a CHANCE I may actually get mine in on time this week...

We'll see how long it takes me to formulate all my picks (and hopefully I don't reward a team twice like last week!)

Aw, come on, sac!  With top 25 voting, first place is worth 25 points - Lawrence had 300 points....

(For anyone who absolutely REFUSES to do the math, there were 12 voters.)

smedindy

Hey, it wasn't me voting for UW-LaCrosse this time!

sac

Well, yes I refuse to do math, if I'm not properly compensation by the polling chairman.

I like it when almost all my teams arent' the highest or lowest range of votes.

Calvin #2 ?  :o

smedindy

Yeah, and no votes for Augie and Albion!

If I'm correct, this is the 7th Poster's Poll.  I think this is the first time I had all 25 teams picked!  :D

Mr. Ypsi

As to Calvin #2, that came from a HoF voter NOT affiliated with the MIAA.

As to Augie and Albion not being listed, I did check with the Albion-omitter, who acknowledged the omission was unintentional but chose not to change his ballot; with the Augie omission I decided to run the poll (this was the last ballot received) since Augie could move up only if Augie was now in the top 6 (which I deemed unlikely for someone who forgot to list them at all).

Other poll notes:

The top 21 are pretty solid (for THIS week!) - all received votes from at least 11 of the 12 voters.  The rest is fairly random.  (#24 Wartburg is in the top 25 pretty much due to a single voter - in such a small poll, your vote DOES count!)

Hope actually got 5 seconds to 4 for Wooster - the voter who put Hope 10th pretty much determined the 2,3 race!

Smedindy and I punished Bald Wally for their two loss week far more than others did - though overall we still punished them more than the real poll.

Smed's crusade for respect for Lincoln doesn't seem to be gaining much traction (after his 6th, the second highest rating was 14th, though only two put them below 19th).

Knightstalker was the one who tried to put Baruch on our radar - so why was the ONLY listing of Baruch this week by someone else?!

Overall, note the incredible range of placings for many teams.  For the top 20 or so, we've decided on WHO, but we are very much undecided on WHERE!

smedindy

I just think B-W's stumbles are concerning at this time of year.

And you know, if Lincoln gets a good draw, watch out!

I think the placings are due to the wild nature of the year. I have written off Wartburg and that conference and am not comfortable with R-MC. In my initial poll, I had Cortland in but noticed I forgot St. John Fisher.

And that screaming THUD you heard? It's any respect at all for NYU plummeting out the window.
