It's in.  I don't like it, but it's done.

I added teams to my list of possibles, even when I knew they weren't going to get on just because they were leading a conference or had a stand-out record in respect to their peers, etc and ended up with an extra 25.  I'm sure some of the middle or lower teams from the power conferences would be in this mix somewhere, I thought it was an odd coincidence that I ended up with a "Second 25."  Anyway, for kicks, I thought I'd throw it out here.  These haven't been fully analyzed, but a rough ranking:

NJCU, Utica, Lincoln, Bates, Centre, Occidental, Captial, RIC, Ramapo, Stevens, Hopkins, Keene State, Loras, Lake Erie, St. John's, Brockport State, Bluffton, Grinnell, Messiah, Maryville, Lewis & Clark, Ohio Wesleyan, Salem State, WPI, Husson

Only six ballots in so far.  35 teams have been mentioned, but we seem to so far have a fairly clear top '26'.

sac won't be submitting 'til after the make-up game by Hope ('hope'fully he won't be influenced by what they do tonite!), so the balloting will remain open until 10:30-11.

Getting mine in (late as usual)...  I didn't file for an extension... do you think I'll get auditted?

Mr. Ypsi

Some quick comments on the poll.

With 9 voters naming 25 teams, there are 225 votes cast.  210 of them went to just 26 schools.  For this week, at least, we seem to have a rough consensus on the top teams, we just differ on HOW top they are!

Everyone from #13 on down was left off at least one voter's ballot, EXCEPT #23 Guilford - everyone liked them, just no one liked them all that much!

We just don't seem to have any idea what to do with such teams as ONU, Oxy, UW-LaX (among a few others) - some quite high, others very low or left off entirely.  Elmhurst especially was pulled way below most of their votes by a couple skeptics (with Hope a close second).  Some others were much higher than most thought because of one or two 'champions' (JHU and MHB perhaps most dramatically).

On the other hand, I'm surprised at how closely we agreed on the place for double-loser WashU.  The UAA, WIAC, and CCIW alone made this a tough week to vote - thanks to all. :)

Now we can speculate as to who voted:

15) WPI?
16) Trinity CT?
19) Brandeis?
20) Salem St?
23) Utica?
24) Rochester?
25) St Lawrence?

Thanks for joining us!  ;)
