Mr. Ypsi

We're currently stuck on five ballots, with sac promising one later today.  Come on GS, OS, PS (and FDF, hoaf, and knightstalker - you're welcome too)!

Mr. Ypsi

sac came through this afternoon, so we stand at six - I'll post tomorrow evening even if there are no more, but I sure hope to not finish off with our lowest turnout ever! :( :-[

Sixteen teams have been named on all six ballots (and rank 1-16).  A total of 35 teams have been named, six of them only once each, so overall there is pretty good agreement on the top 25, though some wide divergence on where.  Interestingly, no team has fewer than 3 points - i.e., nobody had a 24th or 25th pick end up being a solo 'outlier'.  (And the cut off currently for making the top 25 is high enough I'm pretty confident no solo outlier will make it - tops is one of two teams tied for 27th who was a favorite of only one voter.)

Oooh - easiest 20 bucks I ever made!  (Despite your pride in 'quirky' voting, you had NO solo outliers.)

Mr. Ypsi

Got a seventh ballot overnight from Greg (thanks!) - still hoping to hear from the 'Pointer Twins' :P, plus any others.  Either way, the poll will be released this evening.

Man, I can't believe I've become such a conformist.  Perhaps I can claim that I'm still a rebel, but that everyone else has seen the light and joined me.

I know there's some semantic difficulties there, but we'll work through it later.  It's a long off-season.

Mr. Ypsi

"Conformist" might be a bit of a stretch - of the 25 teams you named, you gave their highest vote to 9 and their lowest to 5 (and the only 'no vote' to one other)!  (Additionally, your vote tied for highest with two more [NOT counting Amherst, who was unanimously #1] and tied for lowest on one more - that's at or beyond the 'range' for 18 teams.  Your 'rebel' status seems safe!)

OS, I PMed you, but in case you see this first -

You double-listed RIC.  If I don't hear from you by 8 or so, I'll drop the second listing, move everyone else up one slot, and leave 25 blank, but I'll take YOUR correction if you're quick.

We've reached 8 voters.  I'll post around 8 or so, so there's still time for others!

Are you referring to 8pm eastern time? If you post it a little later tonight I'll do one. :)

Thought I already posted this two hours ago, but ...

April, I'm a Michigander - of course I meant REAL time!  But, by now, it should be obvious that I'll hold off for you!  [One ballot is unlikely to affect MOST slots, but there are a few very tight races, so you (or someone else - hint!) could make a difference.]

OS, got your correction - thanks.

Mr. Ypsi

April,

8pm EDT has of course long passed, but now so has 8pm PDT (and, in case you meant Korean time, 8pm Thursday was 17(?) hours ago!).

Ralph and I are waiting with bated breath for your ballot so I can post! :D
