I am watching the Emmanuel v Suffolk game on-line right now.

Emmanuel up 47-36 at the half.  Suffolk's Georgia Bourikas is just a few points away from 1,000.

Coach Andy Yosinoff was honored at courtside just before tipoff for getting his 800th win on Saturday.

After 3 quarters, Emmanuel is up 74-47 over Suffolk.  In the entire history of the GNAC, the Suffolk Rams have never won at Emmanuel, and it will not happen tonight.

Final:  Emmanuel 81, Suffolk 55

Coach Andy Yosinoff has just picked up his 801st win, and is being serenaded by the Emmanuel crowd, who are holding "801" signs.

ECTV's Player of the game is Ryan Maynard, who prevented Suffolk's Georgia Bourikas from reaching the 1000 pt club tonight with a strong performance on defense.

Emmanuel hosts Johnson and Wales on Thursday.

GNAC Update--

1.). The Hoopsville Marathon is on today starting at 10 AM Eastern.

As part of the Marathon, Dave McHugh ("d-mac") will interview Emmanuel coach Andy Yosinoff at 5 PM Eastern. (Time scheduled approximately-- subject to change)  Among the topics that I expect to be discussed are Andy Yosinoff's 800th career coaching win and the state of the GNAC Women's Basketball race. (Spoiler alert-- St Joe's Maine is favored to win the GNAC women's AQ.)

2.). Georgia Bourikas of Suffolk is 3 pts shy from joining the 1000 pt club.  She  had 12 pts and 7 rebounds on Tuesday at Emmanuel.  Suffolk hosts Anna Maria today at 5 PM Eastern, so look for that milestone to be accomplished in the first half of that game.

3.). Regis (MA) is at St Joe's Maine this evening.  Brittany Stone of Regis goes up against Kelsi McNamara in that one.  Tipoff is at 6 PM Eastern for that one, so that is probably one of the reasons why coach Yosinoff and not coach Mike McDevitt of St Joe's Maine gets the honor of doing the Hoopsville Marathon interview this year. (Of course, 800 wins also has a lot to do with it as well.😀)

Did you know: Brittany Stone is Regis's all-time leading scorer, currently with 1682 career points.   She stands at #3 in GNAC in scoring at 19.0 ppg, at #2 in GNAC in rebounding at 12.2 ppg, and at #1 in GNAC in FG pct, shooting 61.4% from the field.  She is also a nursing major currently doing her clinicals at Dana Farber Cancer Institute in Boston.

Final-- St Joe's Maine defeats Regis, 66-45.

Update-- Emmanuel defeated JWU, 70-61.  Emmanuel now in 2nd place in GNAC with a 1/2 game lead over Regis with 5 games left to play for the Saints.  Regis Pride only have 4 GNAC games left until the conference tournament.

Emmanuel is at Mt Ida on Feb. 10, and at Regis on Feb. 13.  (These two opponents are currently in the top 8 of GNAC who would qualify for the conference tournament if it was to be held today.)

Mt Ida is currently at 8th place in GNAC with a 5-6 GNAC record and 5 conf games left to play.

GNAC tournament field, if it were to be determined today, would be St Joe's Maine, Emmanuel, Regis, Suffolk, Johnson and Wales, Albertus Magnus, Norwich, and Mt Ida.

GNAC team out of the running for a playoff spot is Rivier, due to their 0-2 mark vs Mt Ida.  The Raiders will not go 0-16 in GNAC play though, as they got their first GNAC conference win of the season last night, 56-52, over Lasell.

Emmanuel defeated Simmons today, 73-54, to go to 30-0 lifetime vs their Colleges of the Fenway neighbor from across Brookline Ave in Boston.  Emmanuel improves to 11-1 in GNAC play.

Emmanuel has their next 3 GNAC games on the road, with the highlights being next Saturday at Mt Ida and Feb. 13 at Regis.  Meanwhile, St Joe's Maine plays at Albertus Magnus next Saturday.  The Monks and the Saints are heading to the top 2 seeds in the GNAC tournament in a few weeks, barring an upset.
