make them girls work on the basics, over and over. I think it was halftime of the Colby or the Newbury game were the girls were turning the ball over. Andy had them work on bounce/chest passes and cutting to the basket at HALFTIME..
He should have them doing what you learn in middle school. The basics, layups, free throws,
boxing out, passing it will be painful but it seems necessary. They should not have lost to ECSU or CHapman in Cali....36 to's, man if I were Andy they would have walked home!!!!

Good win for Emmanuel over a tough and talented Tufts team, maybe they are rounding into form to capture another undefeated GNAC Championship, I still wouldn't count out WNEC (despite the departures) and Norwich as legit challengers, has anyone noticed Johnson & Wales scores? it looks as if another dark horse may be emerging to shake this league up, I also still like Suffolk and Emerson to make some noise down the stretch, I would have mentioned Simmons as a threat, but they've been hard to figure out and judging by the scores  I'm not sure they will contend. GNAC league play starts soon, this may be a fun season to watch this conference, the powers to be may face their most serious challenges in quite some time.

Poppadoc

yes, the conference games will be interesting. Simmons will show up against Emmanuel, why wouldnt they?? I bet some of them (Norwich,
WNEC) are licking their chops for a shot at the Saints this year. Just becarful what you ask for though cuz if they get the turn over bug out of their system, they will be fun to watch.

Poppadoc

Saints are in for a helluva game tonight. No Jade, but Evita should fill in nicely. It may turn out to be a block party with Kulian and Johnson.
Yeah, see Salem News article about the game...

GO SAINTS.......

emmanuel got globbered against Salem.  if this is the best the GNAC has to offer.. OUCH!!

raining3s

Don't you know that Salem state has Emmanuel's number ........I wouldnt worry about that game ...as winning the conference is more important while ...building momentum into the playoffs.  the game against ...Norwich was pretty interesting as Emmanuel looked sluggish in the first half and Norwich took advantage.....but once Andy started turning up the heat with the press...Norwich had problems...and I think that press at the end...really..caught them off guard....and that was a helluva shot ..to win it ,,,at the end ...

It looks as if the Saints will go through this flaky conference again unscathed as they withstood their Biggest threat (Norwich) and pulled out the victory(sounds like it was a close game at least by the stats). I once believed that WNEC may challenge them also, but they lost to Johnson and Wales, who are no where near Emmanuels caliber. So the Saints will march through this conference again untouched, unless they have a MAJOR breakdown. None of the other teams will come close to beating them.(Blowouts)

When was the last time the Saints lost a conference game? The rest of the GNAC teams should just concentrate on avoiding them in the playoffs at all costs to prolong their seasons

What happened to Ashley Ames, the 6'4" center from Maine?

I noticed she is no longer listed on the Emmanuel roster...

Poppadoc

I wouldnt say that SS has EC's number. However, they executed their game plan down to a T. They hit the shots
they should have (some of them they were wide open).
They moved the ball around making EC hustle on D. I would
very much like to see a rematch like last year. I gaurentee it will not be a 16 pt blow out again.

As for the conference games, EC has not lost one in almost
5-6 years, thats 72-0 in that span............

that's three more in a row. the team dynamics are starting to come together. it's about to be a wrap for the rest of the GNAC. the Norwich game was hella good and exciting. Pne Manor got beat up with three LAdi Saints in double digits, and fourth hitting the boards hard. And then, last night, a tough Babson squad got dealt with in OT behind four Lady Saint dropping a load on 'em. However, somebody is gonna have to show the other big girls how to jump and graba rebound if LT is gonna be out, because that is not a good look for McCoy & Forbes to be the only serious rebounders. When Johnson is not in the game, the middle is wide open.

I think the saints are playing better ....but I still think Salem has there number.....I have been at many of those games over the last 15+ years....personally I dont think they have the interior passing or enough outside shooting to really go far .....but they have enough firepower to beat up on the GNAC .....

carolina

Anyone can beat up on the GNAC. It is a weak conference. Why do you think WNEC and Norwich want to get out and who knows who else will leave. Think about it Emmanuel wins it every year then gets beat in the first round of the NCAA tournament.

pops

um...not quite. they made the 2d round last year by beating...guess who...salem state int he first round. th year b4 thatg ot booted i the 1st by salve, and booted by bowdoin in the 2nd the 2 prior years (02 and 03). this year's team is dumb deep to give the other regional teams a good run. but word...the gnac is a wrap. that's all she wrote, folks.

carolina

I stand corrected...they get booted in the second round!!!!!!! But, you are right they will win the GNAC because the GNAC is horrible!!!. If Emmanuel played in the NESCAC, they wouldnt be in the top 5. BUt congrats on kicking the GNACS butt.

Poppadoc

You must really hate the Saints to make an unbelievably moronic statement like that.  Yes, you do have 2 teams in the top 10, albeit 1 is slipping slowly. We have played 3 teams in your conference and beat 2 of them, we beat
Bowdion last year at home and lost this year at Bowdion. At the very least, the Saints could hold down spots 3-5.
