4/23 NAthCon Projections:

Non-Conference:  Aurora over Wheaton (that's the matchup per websites of both schools).

Dominican and Benedictine split

Rockford sweeps WLC

Although in second place, Edgewood appears to be in the drivers seat in the NAC.  Their schedule is the easiest and it seems they have a nack for winning big games down the stretch with clutch pitching performances.  They have a recent history of being a solid team who plays flawless ball in clutch situations.  However, I am rooting for underdog Concordia WI who was picked pre season 7th and is surprising many people.

Lakeland has really gone down hill since Coach Weber has left the program. Govek (I believe that was his name) only lasted 2 seasons, and those were 2 horrible seasons.  Any word on how the new coach is doing, I know he's a former player for the Muskies.  I know they're 11-17, but have people close to the program been hearing mainly positives or negatives about their new coach?

My brother is a Lakeland alum and from what he has told me, things are not going as planned at Lakeland. Both of the coaches who followed Coach Weber are from inside the program and neither has had the ability to recruit the athletes needed to compete at that level.

I actually went to Lakeland for one semester as a Freshman (couldn't stand the location), and one of the best things about that school without a doubt was Coach Weber.  He most likely would have left by now anyway because of all the success he was having, but Lakeland's AD really messed up by not agreeing with Weber to keep his assistants around and ultimately causing him to leave a year or two prematurely

4/23 NAthCon Finals:

Rockford sweeps WLC  10-0 and 8-7  (1st game 7 innings, 2nd, 11 innnings).
     
(Game 1, Regents' Rowe goes yard twice, Jacobson gets the CG win, Game 2 Phil Smith drives in the winning run in the 11th inning, Clay gets the win in relief, and Rockford moves into a tie with Concordia-Chicago. Source is box scores off WLC web site.)

Dominican and Benedictine split, 3-2 and 2-5.

(Game 1, 7th inning 2-spot gives the win to Dominican's Eifel, a Sullivan sacrifice fly drives in the winning run. Game 2, Benedictine puts 4 runs on the board in the 5th, and Eagles' Erickson gets the win.

Marian sweeps Carroll  7-2 and 9-4

Edgewood/Clarke rescheduled for 4/27

MBBC/Lincoln Christian cancelled.

Rockford/North Park and Benedictine/Wheaton IL yet to come in.

Domincan lost to Concordia WI 8-3 in game one and the score is 3-3 in the second game.  The game was haulted. Not sure which inning the game is in.  (Per DU website)
