What do you guys think edgewood has to do to make the tourny? That tough loss in the first game to Marion had to hurt, but I believe if they win out they should deffinately be in.  But could they lose a game in the conference tourny?

Spence

Too bad the Stevens Point games got cancelled...we might have gotten to see what Edgewood actually has. I suspect it would have been similar to what Stevens Point did to St. Norbert.

I think Edgewood is kind of a long shot as it is. Losing in the conference tournament would definitely not be advisable.

IMHO, had Rockford and CUC knocked off IL Wesleyan, both of those squads would have at least got a bit more of a look, as far as who they beat, anyway.

Why is Edgewood the only one that gets talked about a ncaa bid from the nathcon. I think its a longshot that the nathcon even gets a bid but if they do both Concordia/chi. and Rockford should also be warranted consideration.
Outside of conference games which Edgewood, Con/chi. and Rockford could still all tie for first the best wins/loses against in region teams that are

Edgewood(win vs. Wash.u 10-9,split with Ripon0-11,19-6)
Concordia/chi.(loss vs Augustana 3-4, loss vs. IWU 9-10, may 8 vs. Carthage)
Rockford(win vs. Augustana 9-4, loss vs. IWU 1-2)

If any of these schools wins both the reg season and the con. tour titles they should be the only team that should be considered for a ncaa berth. The best thing about this is that come next weekend the better team will be determined on the field

5/05 NathCon Finals:

Edgewood splits with Concordia-WI  8-3 and 8-9.
  (Game 1:  W-Flynn  L-Duckett  2-spots in 7th & 8th sealed the win for the Eagles.)

  (Game 2:  W-Meyer  L-Walsh  CUW's Summer had game-winning RBI.)

   All per Edgewood site.

WLCALUM83

A Concordia-Chicago victory over Rockford tomorrow will force a 3-way tie between both of those squads and Edgewood for the NAthCon regular season title.

DO we know how the tie breakers will fall is CUC wins?

goldengear

They would share the regular season championship. As far as seeding for the tourney Conc-Chi would get the No. 1 as they would have swept Rockford and split with Edgewood, while Edgewood split with Rockford as well.
