Not sure if anyone is noticing, but Concordia-Chicago is quietly putting together a spectacular season. Now sitting at 18-2 and ranked #5... thought there might be a bit more conversation about the Cougars and the job that Adam Smith (Carthage grad... had to slide that in) has done since taking over that program.

Where do we see them in the regional rankings? I'd assume Whitewater, Point and St. Thomas are all in the conversation with CU-C for the top 4 slots.
Baseball is not a game that builds character, it is a game that reveals it.

I have them ranked 3rd nationally right now, only behind the two immovable objects -- Linfield and Stevens Point, who have pretty much been at or very near the top all year (I think UWSP started 3rd behind USM). Having a fine season.

Didn't know their coach was from Carthage.

Right now for me it's Point, CU-C, UST, and WW, but plenty of room for change among that group. Should be one of the toughest regionals as usual.

Hopefully the 2015 regional is in Minneapolis. :)

CUC restarted a new win streak today after dropping a game to Aurora U yesterday...

Other than CUC, there's no Pool C candidates here. CUC doesn't appear to be playing their best ball right now, so it wouldn't totally surprise me to see someone else win the tournament. But CUC is still the odds-on favorite.

This used to be a premier job in the region... not sure if that is the case anymore.

CUC Cougars start off regional play with a 3-1 win over UW/LaCrosse. Some great drama as NACC Pitcher of the Year Dan Kluss retires Taylor Kohlwey (.459 entering tonight's game) with the bases loaded to end the game. Cougars play Adrian on Thursday.

Aurora has a new Head Coach. Story is on the main page of d3baseball. Adam Stevens from Central College in Iowa.

CUC travelling to Florida AND Arizona? I guess it was a good fundraising year.
