Thanks... that could be a tough in-region loss for the Spartans.

CUC seems to be waking up.  They got some good pitching from Matt Kudlik and Jason Jusk and their bats seem to be coming alive.  They had two good wins this past weekend in St. Louis against Webster and Illinois Wesleyan.

Concordia-Chicago sweeps Dominican  9-8 and 10-7 (Game 1 Cougars went yard 3 times Dom 3-run 9th inning rally falls short;  Game 2 another Dom 5-run 8th inning rally falls short--CUC box scores).

Lakeland sweeps WLC  3-2  and 14-11 (Muskie 2 run 4th did it in opener:  Warriors left 2 runners on base in bottom of 9th;  Game 2 a Warrior rally from early 12-1 deficit falls short-WLC press releases.)

3-28 Finals:

Benedictine sweeps MSOE 12-2 and 9-2;  In opener 2nd & 4th innings were the only ones the IL Eagle squad did not score;  In nightcap-Hull goes yard to account for Engineer runs:  4 of Benedictine's 9 runs were unearned--per Ben box scores.

Aurora gets the first leg up in the NAC race with a 1-0 win over CUC.  Great pitching from both sides.  Salazar struck out 9 and gave up five hits.  Can't remember the CUC pitcher's name but he gave up only three hits.  A second inning Sac Fly for AU was the only run.
