Do we know if the run rule is in effect for the championship game?

Yes, it is.

Concordia's Skala drafted in the 37th round by the Orioles.  Skala seemed to have a pretty good year at the plate.  Was curious if anyone had any input on his ability behind the plate? 40 strikeouts in 43 games does seem to be a bit high.

I am curious to see who lands at Lakeland College. They have been on a downward spiral ever since letting Coach John Weber go after he took them to the World Series. It is in a solid recruiting belt between Green Bay and Milwaukee, but they never seem to get those kids. Not sure of they plan to take a college assistant from another program or look outside of the box at a top high school coach.

Anyone have an inside information?

NathCon Tournament will now be a six-team event. The original location was going to be CUW's new field Kapco Park, but construction delays have made that not possible. Marian will now host the NAC Tournament in Fond du Lac.

Basketball buzz wore off so I went over to check NathCon standings. CUC and Aurora about where expected, but holy cow what happend at Rockford? 0-9 is hard to believe.

Things are shaking out somewhat as predicted early in the year. For someone in the know, does any NathCon team have a chance at a Pool C bid?

No. AU or CUC would have a minimum of 10 losses and probably not enough SOS to get in. Anyone else has too many losses.

EDIT: I'll amend that for Aurora. I didn't realize Aurora had only 4 in-region losses. If they get knocked out of the NathCon Tournament with 6 losses, then I'd give them a shot at a Pool C.

RC, AU, CUC and BU look solidly in the NathCon Tournament at this point, but the fight for the 5th and 6th spot should be fun. EC has the inside track, but still plays RC and CUC. CUW, DU and MU all have work to do and none of them has any more games left against EC. LC or WLC probably have to win out to even have a prayer.

The six teams for the NAC Tournament are set with Rockford (17-3), Aurora (16-4), Concordia Chicago (15-5), Benedictine (15-5), Edgewood (11-9) and Dominican (11-9). Only seeding needs to be finalized with two games to play.

Rockford will clinch a share of the NAC title with one win against BU and the top seed with two wins. I'm not smart enough to figure out the 1-4 tiebreakers so I'll just wait until it plays out. EC holds the tiebreaker over Dominican for the #5 seed, so two wins or a win and a DU loss will or both teams lose twice will clinch the #5 for the Eagles.

Instead of going to the tournament, the tournament comes to me. I like that. Is admission free? I didn't see anything on the tourney site.

Surprised they don't start that one an hour earlier with no lights at Tiedemann.

Anyone have the NathCon schedule for today?

Concordia Chicago beat Benedictine 2-1 in an elimination game earlier.

CUC and Aurora are playing for the championship right now. CUC must win twice.
