I think this is a really good hire for CUW.  Morgan knows how to build a team and with the facilities available to him at CUW and their committment to the baseball program he should be able to recruit very competitive players.  Their location in Mequon is in the middle of a very baseball rich recruiting area.  I look for the Falcons to be a program on the rise.

Just curious how the heck do some of these teams have enough pitching to get through these early season games? Some teams have 7-10 games in within a 5-7 day period and they are early season. Is it all hands on deck? Do they bring kids who only pitch early season and then are not on the travel roster later? I was looking at some of the schedules and they look brutal from both a pitching and position point of view. That is a lot of baseball in a very short period of time.

Schools in the north and east have to get a lot of games in on the spring trips before conference play starts. And you are right some pitchers get games early in the season, but may convert to a reliever later 8 the season or see their playing time diminish. Depending on the weather, if the teams cannot get outside, the pitchers might be on limited innings or pitch counts. This usually gives freshmen a Chace to show what they can do. I have not compared rosters, but I wouldn't be surprised if these teams carried more pitchers and depended more on position players pitching than teams in the west or south.
