Concordia Chicago sweeps Concordia Wi today.  This puts them in a good position to have the 2 or 3 spots in the conference tournament.  If Rockford or CUC wins the conference tourney you think they get a regional bid? Or does each team have to win out?

Right now, neither were listed in the Regional Rankings.

As a Pool B conference for this year, I think that one must sweep from here on out!

Let's see who is in the Regional Rankings on Thursday.

Other 4-27 NAthCon Finals:

Rockford splits with Edgewood, 0-4 and 5-0.

Marian sweeps Aurora 5-3 and 2-0  (Raddant and Dayton pitch well on the day, per Marian press release).

Benedictine sweeps WLC  8-3 and 10-9

MSOE sweeps Lakeland  7-5 and 13-5

I am voting for J.D. Rotzoll of CUC for player of the year.

He has put up ridiculious numbers this year.

I dont see which regionals rankings you are looking at, but the ones I see Rockford is ranked 4th and Concordia Chicago is ranked 6th.  What do you think are the chances of one of these teams making the regionals if they win their conference tournament?

Pretty good.  The conference tournament will give one of those teams two losses.

Rockford's Pool B chances take a hit tonight with a loss to 6-28 Wisconsin Lutheran, 8-6 in 14 innings.

Believe it or not, the Warriors also knocked off Concordia-Chicago eariler this season as well.

Other finals:

Edgewood splits with MSOE  6-1 and 1-5.

Carthage 6, Aurora 4

Benedictine 6, North Central IL 3  (IL Eagles scored all their runs in 6th and 7th innings to get a come-from-behind non-conference W, per box score off Ben's site).

UW-Oshkosh sweeps Marian 12-7 and 10-5  (A Titan 7 run 2nd gave that sqaud control in G1; Titans went "chunk by chunk" on O in G2 to get the sweep--per box scores off Saber site.)

Dominican beat Elmhurst for the only non-conference win by a NAthCon team last night.

Both Rockford and Concordia-Chicago could still put a feather in the cap by beating Carthage, but would even that be enough at this stage of the game?  :-X :-X  :-\ :-\ :-\ :-\

Does a coach have the best interest of his players when he lets a pitcher go 12 innings and throw 206 pitches on a night when the temps were in the low 40's?

The above line goes back to a game which was the 6th played by the Warriors in a 3-day stretch. At the risk of sounding lame duck, maybe Lemke was the strongest starting arm he had going and he didn't want to use up too much of his bullpen too soon in this nightcap. Closest I can come up with-(unless there was an internal matter)--can't say, just throwing that out there.
