yes please go ahead and forget about rockford, they have only beat some of the best teams the last couple of years, only to fall to a few bad games where they played down to there opponents level, but lets not talk about how webster plays teams that shouldn't even get them a look in the tourney, keep on overlooking rockford please, they will be back next year, concordia who? rockford has beat them 5 or 6 out of 9 the last few years, right?

It wasn't my intention to slight Rockford. Both Rockford and CUC slipped toward the end, but the Cougars slipped a bit more. (Their loss to MSOE cost them a higher seed in the tournament.)  That 8-spot the Regents put up on the Cougars in their first NAthCon Tourney matchup against each other did force CUC to go through a "marathon" session the second day.

If you look at every team that made it to the nac tour. you can probably find a handful of games that could have been turned into wins with a few more good bounces or timely hits or dare i say umpires bad calls(no they never make bad calls)
In all the talk and blogs it seems con/chi was the team that should have gotten consideration for the ncaa's.but remeber they entered the nac tour. as a 4 seed. and did lose 2 of 3 to Rockford.
How bout some props for Rockford They have finished first or tied for first in the last 2 regular conference games and have won the nac tour.both years.
They won 56 games over the last 2 years, two con. titles and no ncaa bids due to the loss of the AQ.
It a shame that the 6 seniors who have made great contributions over the last 2 seasons never had the chance in the ncaa.s
Here to looking forward to next season when there really be something at stake in the nac tour. in 09

Especially if a team has to go through a "marathon session" again on the second day.  :) ;) :D

May I suggest some therapy?
Baseball is not a game that builds character, it is a game that reveals it.

Here's news on a couple of WI prep players headed Concordia-WI and Edgewood's directions--respectively:

(Scroll down a bit, as usual).

CUC well represented in 1st team all conference with 5 players, most of any team.

Hopefully Rotzoll will get some national recognition as well.

Concordia Chicago's JD Rotzoll Third Team All American.  Great ending to a great career.

Congratulations to Rotzoll, awesome honor to get national recognition, totally deserved it.

A lot of D-III players out there to sift through,

there is a reason he was NAC's player of the year.

Also, what's the deal with the NAC website?

They have both stories on the regional players from Benedictine and Aurora, but nothing on Rotzoll who received natioanl recognition.

And congrats to Lempesis as well.

the SID needs to submit the article to the NAC website..... just like BU and AU did.
