Babson sweeps WPI with still no Aizenstadt. I think its pretty clear who the top team so far in the NEWMAC is. The Babson/Wheaton series in a couple weeks should be interesting.

Incredible game today as Babson took down Worcester St in 13 innings on a walk off double. WOW! What a game. This team is really on fire right now.

Looking at the box score what a game!!!  Kucher another big home run but Babson cant hold the lead in the ninth.  Teams combine for five home runs, wind must have been blowing out today!

Aizenstadt got the start but only threw one inning.  Gave up a home run.  Willows were you there?  And if so, was it injury that took him out or were they only giving him one inning?

I'm not sure. But it certainly seemed like it was a scheduled one inning. They had the bullpen going before Aizenstadt even threw a pitch.

Interesting.  Good news for Babson for him to get in a game.  Add O'Brien and Babson has a great 1-2 punch! 

Very scrappy team but not much speed on the basepaths.  Kucher looks like hes going to be a real good player.

Is it actually going to be a down year for Wheaton? I just cannot see that happening because of their consistent success over the past decade. Are bigger recruits falling to the upstart powers like WPI and Babson now?

Easy willows not off the bandwagon still my favorite in the NEWMAC by far, just wondering what's goin on in Norton!?!

Wheaton still 4-1 in the NEWMAC but a big game with Keene tomorrow...dont write them off just yet.

As for Worcester St.-

Its hard to tell because, like everyone else, the early rains have made their schedule a mine field.  A string of poor play dooms them but consistency will keep them in the polls.  Unlike some other conferences, there is no team that is far and away better in the MASCAC.  This was evident last year when Westfield St won the championship as the fourth seed. 

I think its going to be those two again in the finals but I think Worcester St. could have the hitting advantage.  Pitching...depends on who survives April

Hi all...

Big weekend in the NEWMAC starting this Thursday with Wheaton taking on Clark who they beat 3-2 in a duel in Worcester and clark coming off a huge upset win over babson....and also Babson taking on springfield who beat the beavers in extras earlier this season...

Then on Sat. the fireworks will be going off as Wheaton goes to Wellesley to take on the highly touted beavers for two...

Predictions...whatever you come up with i'm sure there will be surprises everywhere as the NEWMAC regular season starts to play out into the final weeks...
