Chicago is tied with Emory for 2nd and go to Emory next weekend. Meanwhile CWRU hosts NYU then goes to Brandeis. No reason not to expect Spartans to go 7-1 next two weekends.

Brandeis has only won 2 UAA games and only 10 overall. They were swept by Emory and WashU and split with NYU.

Brandeis has just defeated CWRU in the first game of today's doubleheader, 6-4, according to live  video from brandeisjudges.com.    Jonah White on the PBP call from Waltham, MA.  Brandeis picks up their 3rd UAA win of the season, and improves to 3-14 in UAA play while CWRU drops to 11-5-1 in UAA play.

CWRU will now need to sweep Brandeis in the remaining 3 games of the series or get help with losses by Chicago and Emory to win the UAA title and the AQ to the DIII baseball tournament.   Chicago and Emory are both at 10-6 in UAA play going into this weekend's action.

Due to potential rain in the forecast this weekend, Game #2 of the 4 game series between Brandeis and CWRU will be played tonight with a scheduled start time of 6 PM ET.

If due to weather, a 4 game series cannot be completed by CWRU, Chicago, or Emory this weekend-- the UAA AQ will go to the team with the highest win/loss percentage in UAA play.      Emory is playing Wash U in game 1 of a 4 game series in Atlanta right now, and that game is tied 3-3 in the top of the 8th as of this post.    Friday's NYU at Chicago game has been postponed due to weather, and as a result, that series is now scheduled for doubleheaders tomorrow and Sunday. 

Currently, CWRU baseball still has the highest win/loss percentage in UAA play as it stands at approx 6 PM ET April 25. 

Update-- Game #2 of today's doubleheader between Brandeis and CWRU is underway, with CWRU scoring 2 runs in the top of the first inning and now 2 out as of 6:16 PM ET.   Brandeis yet to go to bat.

Wash U defeated Emory 5-3 in 11 innings today at Chappell Park in Atlanta in Game #1 of their scheduled 4 game series.     Emory baseball drops to 10-7 in UAA play, while Wash U improves to 9-8 in UAA play.  Games 2 and 3 of that series is scheduled for tomorrow.

2.) UChicago-- 10-6   .625 in UAA play.  Maximum of 4 UAA games left to play vs NYU.
3.) Emory-- 10-7  .588 in UAA play.  Maximum of 3 UAA games left to play vs WashU.
