Frostburg just sounds all out of sorts on defense.... dark horse, sure....

These are polite boards.........snarky doesn't work here ;)
Apologies, for whatever reason the NJAC coaches' poll just irked me.

Wesley sounded like they played alright and hopefully they have settled on a QB in Kesack. Penalties need cleaned up and it sounded like Frostburg dropped their fair share of passes, which could've made the score closer than it was. It also sounded (so Im not positive) that Kesack is still making adjustments to keep up with the learning curve of running the offense.

Next week's matchup vs. CNU will be a better game, and if Wesley commits the penalties that they did today, they could be in trouble. CNU seems to have improved from last year.

Hi Fred,

I hope all is well with you. I only have 1 disagreement with your post. O'Conner, you mean run right, run left and pass on 3rd is gone and it is a good thing. The balance of your post was spot on. What little I saw of the video the offense looked effective. Not the same SOS as the past years. Our QB 6-3 and 225# Frosh is a great addition. Our RB with 305 all purpose yards is awesome. He should make Team of the week. What little the stupid video showed impressed me of our Red Hawks. I agree that FDU is not a good team, and we may have been able to score at the end but took 3 knees. This is a team that will contend like the old days in the near future. To be honest I was losing interest in Red Hawks and now my interest is back. ;D I think my new name for our QB will be the Polish Rifle. See ya at the Rowan game. I think we will be 6-4 / 7-3.

LET'S  GO  MIGHTY  RED  HAWKS  !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Rams - Glad that you got the D-1 QB transfer.........just don't become the "Rowan of the 90's/early 2000's". The inside scoop from back in those days is mindboggling. Where are all of the Rowan posters on the NJAC Board?

A good QB is a help but not the answer. O'Conner retiring was a blessing. The O looked very much different. No comment on Keeler, his actions speak for themselves. The Beast Of The East is gone.
It ain't over till it's over, and when you get to the fork in the road, take it.

one of the overall worst games I have ever seen.  Wesley played ok, Frostburg was not very good, and the refs were the worst I have ever seen in a college game since 2005.  How good is Wesley, no idea.  Frostburg was not good enough to tell.  The penalties are bad.  Holds and offsides on defense are inexcusable.  Frostburg declined at least 6 other penalties so Wesley could have had 18 and it would have still not mattered, the game was not close.  I have no idea what anyone was thinking who thought this team could compete with Wesley let alone beat them, you have no clue.  Frostburg brings nothing offensively that can outscore Wesley and they could not stop them so how would they have beaten them.  Sometimes reality is just what it is, Wesley played a good team last week and did not play well and they lost, they are not going to lose to a team that cant move the ball on offense.  There was improvement, but the linebackers still look lost on pass plays.  Frostburg ran delayed crossing patterns and the LBs had dropped over 10 yards and were no where near the receivers, scary against a good team.  The upcoming schedule will have Wesley winning easily until they head to Rowan in week 8 and after what I saw from Rowan against Widener I am not even sure if that game will be close.  Wesley will be good, how good will depend on the adjustments made by the coaches to allow the skill that is on this team to be its best.

Gee, what was the 2005 game?

DOC, no specific game, that is when my son started playing for Wesley, so I did not see any worse before then.

It seemed that it was more of Frostburg defeating itself rather than Wesley beating them.   I really felt sorry for their coaches with the ton of dropped passes when their receivers were wide open and their horrible kicking game.  Their punter shanked more kicks than any other I can care to remember.  Frostburg needs to drop their rugby style kicking as it is kicking their butt.   If these were fixed, it would have been a closer game.  The penalties were getting downright comedic and the Wesley offensive line needs a lot of work.  Nuf sed on that.

Never lose interest in the Red Hawks, sometimes we have our down years, but are never out! Coach G at the helm we always have a shot, you have been our biggest supporter for way to long, we need ya buddy!!!!!

there are a few younger d lineman I am really hoping step up to the plate, bc they are big, athletic and I am sure can make a contribution, next week will be no easy feat but may I remind you of my senior year, 2006 we went to Salisbury, they were ranked 3rd in the Country and we beat them and you know what the deciding factor was, special teams. If all three sides of the ball play smart football and defense plays assignment football against the option, we can win this game and put MSU back on the map!

Take a look at this article which was written about my former coach at MSU, talking about 9/11-I will never forget it, I was a freshmen in college at Montclair State, first week of class, intro to political science, a student walked into the class late and told the teacher that we are under attack, as soon as that happened everyone's phone started to ring and out in the quad which is in the middle of the school where all of the students walk, was a little chaotic, people running, talking on the phone frantically and everyone making there way to the East Side of Campus, you can see the New York City Skyline from campus and especially from the Freshman Dorm, Bohn Hall. We stood there and saw the second building come down, it was horrible!!!

The phones didn't work, no one was able to get in touch with their loved ones, everyone was crying, praying and very scared, we (football players) all kind of migrated to our coaches office down at the field and just kind of sat around in silence and said a few prayers, me personally it was hours before I was able to get in touch with my Mom, Dad and Sister, I can't recall if we practiced that day but we were there for a while (the field house) panzer gym. I remember walking around campus with my head down because I did not want to look up and see the cloud of smoke, I got in my car drove to my parents in West Orange and we all went to the Highlawn Pavilion which is at the top of Eagle Rock Avenue and looks over NYC, the place was packed with people, praying and crying, it was so unbelievably said.

I heard we were the only team that played football that Saturday but I cannot say for sure, but I do know that bus ride to Brockport was just quite and the game was eerie, I can't describe it, was just odd, it was quite, the fans quite, even after the win, no no emotion, I felt like I was walking in the woods by myself, like spooked or something, after the win, we all took a knee, held hands and coach G gave a speech, an emotional speech and that's the only time I ever saw him cry. The ride home, you could hear a pin drop, we got back to campus everyone just kind of hugged it out and went back to their dorms or home to their parents. For weeks I just always made it a point to walk around campus with my head down so I didn't have to see the smoke, Montclair is with no traffic about 15 mins out of NYC and sits on a hill, the big cloud was just a constant and made it a point to keep the curtains down so I couldn't see it from my dorm room in Bohn Hall.

I'm not going to be able to make it unfortunately.  I wish I could! It will be a very interesting game to say the least to see where CNU and Wesley truly stand.

I hope both teams play well so that we can see how they stack up. I'm looking forward to the environment. It's not parent's weekend or homecoming, but I still am hoping for a large crowd. Would be nice to see 5,000 in the stands. Last year when we played ranked Rowan in week 4, we had about 4700.

You will enjoy the video feed if you can't make it. CNU does a great job and Tommasino and Cooper call excellent games.

No doubt!  I have watched CNU games online in the past and those guys are really, really good with their commentary.
