Wesley College Football.... A Winning Tradition not to be soon forgotten!

O line not picking up any blitz. Falkenberg has no chance.

Only bright spot is that Wesley gets first ball in the second half.

wesleydad

May not be a bright spot if the O line play doesn't improve.

What kinds of adjustments do you think Wesley needs to make?

Also 2nd quarter in GB, Brett Hundley is still in at QB

wesleydad

Play better d. Challenge receivers and don't get beat deep. Have to quick pass which plays into del Val's hand because they are not worried about getting beat deep. Hope del Val turns ball over. Find away to score 3 tds and give up none.

Frostburg is looking pretty tough!!

22-12 with 15 minutes left. Wesley needs to keep this going! Theres time!

EJ Lee: 29 carries, 154 yards. Wow.

wesleydad

EJ LEE is going to be good. Much better on both sides of ball. 1500 minutes left to finish the comeback.

you CANNOT give up a safety there! 24-12  :-\

Oh well.  Once again, lots of work to be done.  A better second half to a not so good game for Wesley.  Falkenberg shook up, so will have to see what happens this next week.  Inconsistent would be the word.  Yeah......   ::)

Whelp.....With all the mistakes Wesley made, take back the 70 yard fumble return and you have a victory, right?  Gotta look at the positives.  By the way, Frostburg was a beast tonight against Stevenson!  Well done guys.

No Ski, you can not take back the fumble return for a positive.  They were bad the first half and the fumble was a bad decision, could have dumped it off to 2 receivers for positive yards.  The defense needs to start games off aggressive and stop playing lay off coverage.  Too many dink and dunks led to double moves for 2 easy TD's.  Second half went press and took away short passes and Darden was forced to try and find someone and no one could get open.  If you want to look at positives, the adjustments in the second half worked.  The safety was on a blitz with 5 wide so no help when the tackle misses the block.  That is when I left so I did not see the last TD drive, it got rather chilly.  WDEL did not come in up there so I could not listen to it on the way home.  The other positive is EJ Lee.  He is going to be good, real good.  The O line run blocks well enough and he makes nice cut backs into open space.  He will make many defenses look bad.  I dont know what to make of Falkenberg, he throws a nice ball, but seems hesitant, worried about making a mistake?  In the end this game means nothing, win the NJAC and they are in.  3 weeks to get things fixed.  Dont think you change QB's if the backup comes in and is 0-4.  Oct. 7 at Frostburg will now be on my travel agenda after their trouncing of Stevenson tonight, which did not surprise me.

Thank you wesleydad for correcting Ski. That's like asking Mrs. Lincoln how she liked the play, other than the shooting. :)
