Interesting week of D3football so far. Frostburg and Salisbury win handily in the NJAC, and I'm mildly interested in the CNU-HSC game later. Kean and Montclair both fall in non-conference play. Looking at the stats of the Montclair game, it seems they had a tough time in the passing game. Also, St. Thomas and UWW both go down.

I think we will get a better reading of Frostburg in the next two weeks as they are at CNU and at Rowan, before the tell-all showdown on October 7.

Looking to next week vs. TCNJ, I will be interested to see what kind of game Khaaliq Burroughs brings to the offense.

CNU wins 20-7. Over 400 yards offense. But it sure didn't seem like it. Disjointed most of the night. The D was stout. And now......Frostburg comes to town. I'm glad we are at home. 2-0 is a good place to be  and yessssss......we beat HSC on my birthday weekend!!!!!  I can't stand them.

Good win by my the Gulls, way to bounce back, now on to the next week. This will be the second week Kean has seen the option and this is their first home game, so no surprises this week. Protect the ball and limit big plays and we win easily, if not plan to see a shootout. Good luck to both teams. Big week for both CNU and Frostburg, definitely my game to watch this week.

The CNU game should be a good one!  The Gulls option is certainly a live by the sword, die by the sword proposition.  Great if Salisbury can dry up the clock when they are ahead and sucks when they get behind!

good game and you will enjoy it.  Can CNU score enough to win.  Frostburg is better than HSU on both sides of the ball so the Captains will have to up their game to get the win.  I will be watching.  Side note there are about 5 games to watch at 7 on Saturday at the D3 level alone.

open 4 windows and size them to all fit on the screen.  I have done that the last 2 weeks.  How do you think I have seen so many teams in the East play already.

In the words of Donald Trump, Frostburg State will be a "YUGE" test on Saturday...CNU will have to play extremely well to have a chance.

GO CAPS!

Frostburg vs CNU is the game of the week.  I will be interested to see how the CNU offense does against the Frosty D.  CNU had over 400 yards but only put up 20 against HSU.  Frosty will score, can CNU score with them?  The only other game that seems like it could be close is the Kean/Salisbury game, but I watched some of the Kean game last week and they had trouble dealing with Spingfield so they will also have trouble dealing with the Gulls.  What will the Wesley offense look like with the new QB?

With Kean having 5 weeks to prepare against the option and coming off another bye-week, I am sure the players and coaches are tired of preparing for an offensive system/scheme that they only see once a year on average. I think Kean will be well prepared, but traditionally Salisbury talent has been much higher than that of Springfield from what I have been told. I don't know if this is the most talented team, but they have returned some key guys from last year and no they have no room for error if they want to win the NJAC and make the playoffs to contend for a championship. I am hoping for the best and injury free game on both teams with W in the Salisbury Column. If Salisbury limits the turnovers, limit big plays, and finish in the red zone, they will win. If not, it will be close.

I suspect a lot of running plays are in the offering.....
