Looks like another week of no game.  The beginning of the year has really been weak for games to go see and I will drive anywhere within 6 hours if it is really good.  Just cant muster up the want to go watch anything so far.  I plan on going to Frostburg, but that may change to.  Not losing interest, watching 4-5 games on the computer each weekend.

Pep can't guarantee chili in the Connors Pavilion, but Pep could get you access to some pretty darn good tailgatin' food in the parking lot if you wanna take a trip on the lonesome highway (I-86). These football players' parents know how to put on a spread....perhaps because they've been feeding football players for so long!! We got the unbeaten Buffalo State Bengals in Mayberry this Saterday. Same Bengals that in 2012 were the first to knock off the three-time defending national champion Warhawks of UW-Whitewater.

On Saxon Warriors!

P.S. If you play drums, I can promise you a seat in the band's luxury box this Saterday!!

On Saxon Warriors! On to Victory!
...Fight, fight for Alfred, A-L-F, R-E-D!

Thanks for the offer Pep.  Enjoyed my trip last year to see the playoff game.  Great hospitality on your part.  Beautiful place to watch a game.  I will be watching it along with several others unless I get outside and do some end of year yard stuff.  Calling for rain in my area Saturday so that will likely cancel the yard stuff ;D.  Good luck this weekend.

Wesley's season begins next Saturday at Frostburg. Did what they were supposed to today. Shame that Okike hobbled off the field today, but hopefully its minor.

What a game. Defense was simply amazing. Two scores. Two more picks and another fumble recovery. CNU going into the game led nation in picks. Rowan had 4 first downs and two of those were from penalties. Total domination by CNU defense. A huge test next week against SU.

The defensive touchdown by Aanstoos was one of the most athletic plays I've seen in a while by a DL.

njac starts the season this week with Wesley/Frostburg and CNU/Salisbury.  Will be a good week to see how it shakes out.  I expect Wesley and CNU to win and if they win out would set up a nice last game of the year between Wesley and CNU.

Wesley-Frostburg is very interesting. This will be their first test since Del Val and the first test period for Burroughs. It's going to be interesting to see how much Wesley's offense has developed. I don't think we saw the "full" version of the offense in the past 3 games due to the quality of opponent.

Not sure how much Frostburg has been tested since the last meeting between the two teams. Seems that Stevenson was not at the level they were at last year. CNU took them to the wire though this season. Also by looking at the boxscores, it looks like Frostburg's offense is more capable this year.

Although the second half was quite dull, it was a nice win for CNU...good to get some payback for a couple of close losses to the Profs recently.  Now, it's on to Salisbury...I think CNU's D might have something for your boys, MANDGSU...should be interesting.  The Captains now getting a little love outside the Top 25....

Swish,

CNU looked very very good Saturday against Rowan. Early on in the game, it appeared you guys knew everything they were going to do and Rowan had know clue on what you guys were doing and when they did, a fake punt or interception in the end zone change that. I suspect CNU to be the same this upcoming weekend. However, I think Salisbury offense will give the Defense trouble if CNU isn't discipline. There have been teams that worried about being to disciplined and moved to slow and then I have been teams that moved to fast and miss assignments resulting in TDs for the Gulls. I think the key for both teams is to get out early and make the opposing offense run plays they are not comfortable with. Who knows the game may come down to special teams and you guys always have something up your sleeves. I just want a good competitive, injury free game and a "W" in the Salisbury Column. Nevertheless, you guys look really good and I think you should be ranked based on comparable games.

What about Montclair @ TCNJ? ;D
It ain't over till it's over, and when you get to the fork in the road, take it.

Good stuff, MANDGSU...CNU's D is pretty solid, but their offense needs to be more consistent and take advantage of the opportunities they're given.  As always, the challenge will be stopping Salisbury's offense...should be a good one!

The good news is that the game is at SU. In this Rivalry, the away team has the better record at their opponent's house! Strange. I might make the trip.....last time I went on the road to SU, you guys dropped over 50 points on us....I may not be allowed to go again! CNU seems to find ways to stop the SU running game (well....stop it enough to win a few games....nobody ever really stops it!). It's the passes over the middle that I recall killing us several times!

We suck at converting turnovers into points. That was the difference in the Frostburg game.
and we went for 2 again after the first TD. We converted.....bu I don't get it!!! Might be time for an email to Link.

I think the biggest culprit is the offensive line...they're allowing too much pressure, too quickly...running game's below average.
