Final note of the day. I know fans are looking forward to the 2018 season, but let me ask about 2019 and beyond. With some teams leaving, I'm interested in hearing about scheduling issues for other teams. How will that play out for you guys? CNU seems to be locked in with Hampden-Sydney (CNU President is an alum) but that could change as the ODAC adds teams.  I'm not sure where they will look for the other 2 non conference games needed.
Beside FSU and SVU, are any other schools planning to switch?  I'll ask Coach A how Rowan plans to schedule around the conference changes.

Frostburg - Frostburg State set to join D-II conference
SVU - Southern Virginia Football to Join ODAC Beginning Fall 2019
CNU
Kean
Montclair St
Rowan - The recent addition of Widener created a new local rivalry. Other schools could include Del Val.
Salisbury
TCNJ
Wesley
William Patterson
Go Rowan! Brown & Gold!

Just some things I've noticed from the roster.
Some transfers from either D1 or JUCO.
8% of roster played high school ball outside of Va.
OL/DL Freshman are bigger
Only carrying 98 on roster (I'm guessing JV team is now extinct)
Many players returning from injuries after having some good stats when they went down. Let's see if they have recovered.
Now to see how this plays out on the field. Need a few more W's this year.

Defense should be solid again this year. Offense is set at the skilled positions (QB is unproven but I think will be just fine). The key to the entire 2018, in my amateur opinion, is the play of the offensive line.
This is awesome, thanks for posting.  I can't wait for Rowan to update their roster so I make a similar comparison.  I have Rowan's 2016 and 2017 roster in a spreadsheet with various notes.
In regards to out of state %, I have always been impressed with SVU out-of-state metrics. They recruit from all over the place (hasn't translated into W's) but impressive none the less.
Go Rowan! Brown & Gold!

SVU is a Mormon school. They are relatively new, but the VERY long term goal is to provide, at some scale, an East Coast alternative to BYU. But the Mormon affiliation is why they have such geographic diversity.

Yeah, I heard from someone, somewhere that SVU could explode into a powerhouse. Not sure from who.... or why... but I'm sure the fact that they get people from all over contributes to that.

and they are slowly, but nicely, making significant investments in facilities.

Ah, you guys can spout these politically correct, feel-good bromides all you want - I went to college to pick up 'chicks'! ::)

Getting enough education to have a career in academia was just a side benefit! ;D

[And, for the record (though I'm sure the statute of limitations has run out ;)), a side benefit of the side benefit was meeting my wife of 41 years as one of my students - we never dated until AFTER she was a student!]
