Did not see any of the game that mattered.  Nice win, 34-10.  Congrats to Coach Knapp for his first head coaching win.  From what I can tell this is a good start for Wesley.  I was concerned about the D and holding Del Val to 10 is a good sign.  Wesley generally only gets better as the year goes on.  This is going to be an interesting year with the changes.  I will reserve my enthusiasm, but I think this is going to be a really good team.

34-10 Wesley with 11:01 to go in the 4th. Wesley's defense has played well tonight... and so far they have overcome 141 yards in penalties. So theres that.
I guess the guy updating the score/clock on the live feed went home
I was just glad the video feed worked!!!

When Wesley wasn't committing penalties they controlled the game. The defense locked it in when we got to the second half and really shut down Del Val. Clean up the penalties and Wesley will be tough to beat.

Was very impressed with CB Dequay Harris-Winbush, LB Nazir Williams was all over the field, and Alex Kemp picked up right where he left off last season. Glad to have him back.

Besides the usual Wesley penalties, I really liked what I saw out there on the field.  Both Wolverines lines are more athletic this year and they are moving off the ball a lot quicker.  The defensive line kept good pressure on the Del Val QB and the secondary looked a hell of a lot better than they did last year.  Last year, they looked lost.  This year, they were on top of their charges and that made a big difference.   Burroughs passing game is greatly improved.  His TD shot in the first half was a beaut.  He definitely hit the gym in the off season.   Again, very happy with how he has improved in the off season.  The offensive line is giving Lee some good avenues to get into the back field.   Special teams need more work overall.  Del Val had some good kickoff returns and that gave them some good field position.

I definitely have a better vibe this year than I have had in the last couple years.  I'm not biting my finger nails...... This is going to be a good year.

p.s.  Why is the box score showing 28-10 when the score was 34-10?

I guess they got a new stat system and they were trying to figure it out. It didn't work too well during the game.

To all of those who doubted me and my "inside sources" regarding this year's Aggies team..................You DO NOT lose the best safety in the East (Miller) and his starting counterpart, both starting CB's, all four starting LB's and the stud nose tackle/heavyweight wrestler (Issac) (total = 9 of 11 defensive starters)...................as well as the top RB in the MAC (Ellis), his two primary backups (Rhoane and Wharton), three starting OL's (including two All-MAC honoree's, Walsh and Sylvester), the best WR (Ellis) (total = 6 of 11 offensive starters)................as well as the MAC's most dynamic punt returner (V. Nelson) and kick returner (Nesbitt) and compete with a team like Wesley, on the road, with all that they have coming back (including 7 All-NJAC performers), double revenge for the consecutive losses to DelVal AND the emotion of playing the game (and season) for Coach Drass. It is going to be a long, rebuilding year in Doylestown. Brockport and Wesley will be "seeded" one and two in the Eastern "bracket". Let's see who gets homefield and if either can take out Mount Union or UMHB!!

Another Wesley player made the grade in the NFL!  Matt Gono made the Atlanta Falcons' 53 man roster.  Well done mate! We are proud of you!

CNU 7, SVU 0 with about 1 min left in the 1st

Looks like SVU has ditched the triple option.

ROWAN is for real this year !! :-[
8-) If they can limit the penalties they'll be tough ... the surprise return of LB Chris Henchy made a noticeable difference, him and his dogs were running around all day making plays on Thursday
Go Rowan! Brown & Gold!

CNU 14, SVU 0 with about 12 min left in the 2nd

I'm starting to watch more and more DIII football over the past few years,  I'm just realizing that D3 referee must be a really hard job without the aide of replay!   So many close calls that in each game.
Go Rowan! Brown & Gold!

Great to hear about Gono!

Looks like CNU is having its way with SVU now. Pretty good opening week for the NJAC.

That's awesome!!

CNU wins 38-9. I guess I'm old school. Too many penalties, mental break downs (13 men on the field, lining up for a retry on an extra point when the other team is about to kickoff....how can one entire team know what's going and another has no clue? Same field. Same refs. Same game?). I know it was first game of season and things can be ironed out. But I was frustrated watching this game. We play a Wesley or Frostburg like this and we get crushed. Head coach had to call timeouts because nobody else knew what was going on.

Positives...CNU has some athletes who can play ball. The transfer from Delaware almost had a pic 6. The kid recruited from Florida scored a TD. I was expecting 2 running backs to dominate and someone I never heard of started and had 90 yards on 24 carries. SVU lines are big and CNU dominated both. I like our QB. Good size. Good arm. 23-38 278 yards and 3 TDS. Top receiver sat the first half for violating team rules.

Overall, I guess this was a good warmup. Hopefully the mental lapses and penalties are mitigated in future games.

I assumed you loved every minute.  SVU is just not a good team.  I hope Row takes care of business by halftime to allow the new faces game snaps.
