Frosty fans, I was watching the ITH radio podcast last night and learned that no makeup date for the CNU game is scheduled.  Hobart has a 9 game schedule as well and an open date on 9/29....just sayin'...

That would be great. The time would be now if it was to occur. I thought UCF and West Virginia were going to play each last week after their cancellations, but with such short notice and logistics, its hard to find room & Board for the size of the teams (mayble neutral site). I'm pretty sure Frostburg Coach would play with a day's notice... ;D
Yeah, I bet logistics are probably hard to make games like that work on short notice. Doesn't Hobart usually only stick with a 9 game season anyway?

It's still their Homecoming. Maybe they'd like a football game.

I think the last time Hobart had a 9 game season was 2012, I know the new staff worked very hard preseason to get the 10th game.  This was discussed at length on LL board, but the weekend of 9/29 is Hobart's Homecoming weekend.  As of now there is no football game!

ITH radio

2013 was the last 9-game regular season. 2012-16 have all had 10 games, even with the conference shuffling. 2017 was a lot trickier because of the LL losing 3 teams to the NEWMAC.

Frostburg coaches had exhausted many avenues for making up the CNU and possibly persuing another game. A lot of the efforts fell through. Just have to go beat wesley and call it a day.

This could be true, but I literally raised the Hobart idea to them yesterday.

I hope they beat Wesley too, and but overlook Rowan in the process ;)
Go Rowan! Brown & Gold!

While I'd be interested in seeing a Frostburg at Hobart game on 9/29, Hobart's Homecoming, I'd be surprised if the Statesmen would/could pull it off at this late date. As a further consideration, Hobart plays Liberty League rival Union (3-0) on 10/6. As of now both teams have a bye on 9/29 and a week to heal and prepare. A Hobart game vs a very tough Frostburg team, while very attractive, would not be in Hobart's best interests competitively.

Congrats Red Hawks! Always nice to leave CNU with a W. The game was ugly. It was boring. And the discipline on both teams was horrible. Penalties everywhere. Pushing and shoving. Even after the game during handshakes. Both teams.

Enjoy the W. It was well earned on the field! Congrats again! Nice season so far for you!

Could not get access to the video.  ??? Viewing the live stats were ugly. We threw 3 pick and CNU threw 2. 100 yards of penalties for both sides. Stats were pretty close and we won time of possession. It appeared to be a hard fought game. Goo luck to CNU the balance of the year.
It ain't over till it's over, and when you get to the fork in the road, take it.

Congrats to SVU on their first W of the year.

Wesley did well today, but 90 yards of penalties dampened things a bit.    I was saddened to see Wesley's freshman running back Xavier Drummond hurt his knee today.  I hope to see him back again as he has a lot of Mike Pennewell type potential.  He was in a lot of pain.   The defense held WP to 43 yards of total offense.  If it wasn't for a 91 yard kickoff return by WP in the 4th, it would have been a solid shut out.

As I said...they will surprise some folks.  The ODAC will be surprised as well

Didn't catch a ton of the game, but sorry to see Xavier Drummond go down. The kickoff game needs a little work, but our punt and kickoff return teams have been stellar. So Va next week, then the competition ramps up vs Frostburg.
